The food was really good. Got the pad Thai and curry coconut noodles. It was a little spicy but v good. The layout is exactly the same as the old Ten Rens.

First time trying this newly opened Thai restaurant. Decided to try them out for their lunch specials. Can’t beat the price! The special comes with soup, salad and a drink. Food was good, but I noticed it’s underseasoned for my taste. Service was friendly.

We ordered chicken mix with rice , slow cooked pork shoulder, and crab meat fried rice.
The chicken mix was delicious and crispy. The pork shoulder tasted fresh as the meat has bounce and not dry. The fried rice has a strong wok smell making it authentic. The amount of crabmeat was generous for the price.

The servers were all friendly and humble. The atmosphere feel very new and modern.

Very worthwhile to go enjoy at. Quite busy during lunch.

Don’t forget to check in on yelp and receive a free Thai tea too.

Bangkok Soul is a new popular Thai restaurant in Alhambra. They offer Thai’s traditional comfort food and drinks such as mango sticky rice, winter melon tea, fresh coconut etc.

Interior layout and design were spacious and modest with few art Thai decor. Food menu is vast as well as the drinks. I had the Veggie stir fry rice and winter melon tea. Food was tasty and flavorful. Drink was okay. Staff were nice and competent.

Overall, it’s a nice Thai spot with flavorful food. I recommend it.

Came here with my parents on a Saturday night and was excited to try a new Thai spot. The restaurant itself has a really nice ambiance, and the servers were friendly and efficient. It’s located in the same plaza as Smart & Final, so parking is easy.

We ordered the calamari, Pad Thai, Rad Na, and the orange shrimp. The Pad Thai was decent but a little too sweet for my taste. The Rad Na was very different from what I’ve had before—it was more like a soup and had a tangier flavor than I expected. The calamari was heavily battered and just okay. The orange shrimp was also very battered and extremely sweet.

Overall, the food leaned way too sweet for me, and it wasn’t the best experience food-wise, though the service and atmosphere were good.

I would give this place a 3.5, I prefer to round up. Came on a Friday night before the crowd kicked in. I ordered. Seated at a corner near the the host table, awkward placement if you’re not sitting at the window side.

Lean Roll: I liked the peanut sauce but I don’t think it’s worth getting for $10.

Thainese Chicken Rice and Soup (miss thainan): Best dish to me, I liked they have crispy bits of the rice! Good portion.

Chow mein: Portion is fine but a bit too oily for my liking.

Coconut Ice cream: Very generous portion and can really taste coconut. It was too icy though.

Okay Thai food with good service and good ambiance.

Visited for lunch on Saturday. The restaurant was clean but fairly small, so large groups may find it tight. Our group of 4 ordered family style:
– Papaya Salad
– Pad See You
– Tom Yum Crunch Noodle
– Thai Fried Rice
– Siam Green Curry
– Spicy Basil Fish Fillet
– Bangkok Crying Tiger Steak
– 2x mango sticky rice

The green curry and spicy basil fish fillet stood out and are worth recommending. Tiger steak tasted off, and tom yum didn’t quite capture the traditional flavor. Mango sticky rice, however, was a highlight and worth ordering.

We went in for Braised Pork Legs, it did not disappoint at all. It is a definitely a “must-order” dish. For appetizer, we ordered Donut Shrimp cake, it was a very good starter.

the food and service was outstanding. the place opened up where the tenren’s teatime used to be. i had the snow tofu (fried tofu), pad thai, and the signature bangkok braised pork leg (boss leg mixed)

snow tofu: the presentation was excellent, i especially liked the thai flag that came with the tofu. the tofu was crispy on the outside, but the tofu on the inside was silken tofu that basically melts in your mouth. it comes with chopped peanuts and a sweet and sour (?) sauce that was really good.

pad thai: very good. the noodles weren’t too sticky and overall a very good flavorful pad thai.

signature bangkok braised pork leg (boss leg mixed) (khao kha mu): the meat was very tender and flavorful. the chili sauce provided was excellent as well.

overall, the food was outstanding and the service was amazing as well. staff were really attentive and answered any questions we had.

please give this place a try!

Came here with a friend for lunch and we both got the fried chicken lunch special. The ginger rice goes well with the chicken, as well as the chicken sauce. The lunch special itself is decent and gives you good value in my option. Staff was attentive and we had no issues

Attn: Before you leave or when seated, order the coconut ice cream topped with peanuts! Ice cream is made in house with the perfect texture and level of sweetness. Satisfaction upon first bite and it’s only $3.45 for a generous scoop. It’s perfect during this HOT weather! 10/10!!! Tell them Bonnie said the coconut ice cream was MUST TRY!

Bangkok Soul is going to be your new favorite Thai Spot because it hits all the checks !!! It’s only been a month you, you walk in and the vibes are like #iykyk. Should I tell people or keep this a secret to impress others?

1. Amazing first impression vibes! When you walk in, the way the restaurant is designed is modern, trendy, feels comfortable and welcoming. I love how there is lots of seating and not any bad spot. Love the Bangkok Soul neon sign.

2. Bangkok Street Food is what they specialize in! Did you know their braised pork leg stew ( Khao Kha Moo) is a multi generational recipe directly from Bangkok and pretty much inspired this restaurant! It’s a must order if you enjoy stewed pork with pickled mustard greens and rice. I enjoyed how its braised sauce is light, not too sweet and perfectly balanced.

Another best seller that humbled this new owner was the demand for their Thai-nese ( Hainan) Chicken & Rice. You can get it both steamed and crispy. The steamed chicken comes with a thai soy herby sauce and crispy comes with a sweet sauce. Ultimately both are satisfying with that rice. Loved how I can get both because I love options.

Another authentic Thai dish and comfort food is Chinese Broccoli w/ Crispy Pork Belly. A simple dish but so satisfying because the flavors are simple and textures of the crispy pork belly pieces along with somewhat thinly sliced of Chinese broccoli w/ garlic. You can get this on their regular menu and lunch special menu. The lunch special comes with Thai Tea, rice, soup, sides and a main for $15.95.

When you cannot decide between that spicy brothy beef Thai Boat Noodles or that richly coated yellow curry coated noodles in Khao Soi, get BOTH and bring a friend. Both are soo good! Thai Boat Noodles, broth is rich, spicy and lots of tender beef, slippery rice noodles and it will make you want this instead of Pho any day. On the other hand, Khao Soi Noodles ! Who can resist that curry broth with those egg noodles and at Bangkok Soul you can get it in chicken, stewed beef or crispy chicken. I loved the texture of the crispy chicken with the Khao Soi Noodles.
