Now THIS is Thai! NOT mid western Thai. I have been searching for a good Thai food place for years in West Michigan. I’ve traveled and lived around the world and our Thai food in West Michigan is sub par. Bangkok Chef is the farthest Thai restaurant from my house, I have 7 that are closer. While this is a half an hour drive, I am so glad I ventured out to try it. We got spring rolls, crab Rangoon, and chicken pad Thai. It has been difficult to find a place that makes GOOD chicken pad Thai. Typically we see under flavored, watery, soggy noodles and bad chicken cuts. This place has the BEST chicken pad Thai I’ve had in Michigan and can compete with other larger cities with authentic Thai. We were told everything is homemade, so the spring rolls and crab rangoons are made in house and are not frozen appetizers. You can really tell a difference in texture and flavor. Very very nice staff. We will be only getting Thai from Bangkok Chef from now on. OH and the prices are PERFECT. So much respect to this place for not price gauging your customers. Thank you!

Bangkok Chef serves up some seriously delicious food! Their basil fried rice and pad see ew are absolutely fantastic, with generous portions and great value. I always have enough left for a second meal. If you’re a fan of spice, be sure to go for mild, as even their “mild plus” or next level can really pack a punch.

The restaurant is always spotless, and they offer lunch service, which is perfect for a midday break. It’s family-owned, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. I highly recommend Bangkok Chef for a tasty, satisfying meal!

A hidden gem in Midwestern Michigan.
Very cozy, run by a family in Caledonia. Their Thai food and prices blow every other Thai place out of the water. There are tons of flavor, spice, and anything you can want from a Thai place.

Love love love the food here, the chicken pad Thai is amazing. I didn’t give this place 5 stars only because it’s a crap shoot to find them open. Sometimes they’re open, sometimes not, which I understand in January and February when business is slow. Despite the inconsistent hours, I’ll still keep trying to order their great food.

I only have good things to say about this place. We ordered peanut curry pad Thai, drunken noodles, and veggie spring rolls. We love Thai food but sometimes have trouble finding vegetarian options— the people at Bangkok chef were so kind and helpful to help us out with this by going through potential substitutions/making sure everything was okay with us. The dishes were delicious to say the least, and great portions. Beyond this, their customer service skills were impeccable. We felt very seen and heard and they always asked if there were ways they could accommodate us further. I wish I asked for the name of the lady working at the front because she was just a sweetheart. I wish we lived closer because we would definitely come here more often. Thank you Bangkok chef for a great meal and an even greater experience!

Delicious and good spicy Thai food, I am originally from Taiwan so our Thai food is quite different than that here but I was not disappointed at all, I love the peanut curry especially with the sauce all over fried rice, and even though I’m more of a rice person than a noodle fan, I very much enjoyed their chicken pad Thai too.

Yumm. Ordered the shrimp rolls and curry rice with shrimp. Great service by Teagen, chill place to sit down and eat if you wanted that. Of course you do. Just eat here, you won’t regret it.

It was my first time trying this tiny restaurant in my town and boy was I happily surprised! I tried the drunken noodles, medium spicy and the peanut curry noodles, medium spicy. Both were so delicious. Medium spicy is quite spicy if you’re not prepared for it. Personally it was good for me, but it might be a lot for some people. Those drunken noodles with chicken were so good. The peanut curry was good, but the carrot medallions in it were quite raw. I’ve found my new go to for spicy and delicious food. I look forward to making my way thru the menu.
