The best Thai food ANYWHERE!!! The only Asian place I’ve been where you don’t even need soy sauce. Portions are very big, especially for the fried rice. Always get the vegetable fried rice and add a meat to it if you like. You will not be disappointed. The spring rolls are top notch too especially with the sauce they give you. It’s not that thick super sugary stuff most places give you. Love this place. I only wish I lived closer

I used to eat here in the mid 90s. But only when I wanted something fancier than Bangkok Express (the original & 1st Thai restaurant ever). IYKYK.

They don’t have dine in servers anymore, but the tables are still here, if you wanna eat here rather than take home.

The prices are standard and makes one feel mad old when I remember how much it used to cost.

Hot level is the same as I remember: it makes you sweat but the flavor is still there. This pain is worth it. Go Medium if you’re a basic B.

They don’t do the fried wing drum lollipops anymore, they’re basically just fried wings.

Its not longer a destination for me when I visit Detroit, but if I’m nearby, it’s great for nostalgia sake. Just not the same, especially minus the servers.

Really a shame. Used to be absolutely delectable. Ordering system has always been horrible: no website, if you call you will get a busy signal. Best option is to go in person and order and there used to be a huge wait because that’s what everyone did.
What I think happened is that they were tired of people crowding the restaurant space for the carry out orders. Their solution was not to get an online ordering option or a better phone service. Instead, they started batch-cooking everything and assembling it like a fast food place. Really hurt their cross contamination as well: I picked out crab and bell peppers from my chicken pad thai.
Our order was done in less than 5 minutes and the quality really reflected that. Chicken and noodles were bland and cold. I didn’t spend 75 dollars for 4 meals for Panda Express quality food. Only reason I’m not giving a 1 star is my past affection for this place.

Delicious chicken fried rice. The pad Thai was also very good (but the chicken fried rice was better!) The atmosphere is kinda strange, it seems like there’s a lot of boxes that are not put away but I’m guessing they use the main dining room for storage since you cannot eat inside if you want full service. They just don’t offer it. The food was ready very fast (10 minutes) and the portions were huge and lasted at least two meals. Paid around $40 for all the food pictured, including the tip. I would definitely order from here again.

I’ve eaten a lot of great Thai food, and I think this is one of my new favorite places. The food is fantastic, some of the best I’ve eaten. Cooked very well, seasoned very well, and actually quite spicy on their hottest spice level. All the vegetables tasted fresh. And the portions are quite generous.

It isn’t full service; you go to the counter to order and pay for your food, and they set it on the counter in a to go container. Some people might not like this setup, but personally, I do like it; it’s simple, and it means you can just leave when you’re done. I also like that you can see the food being made, since the kitchen is in full view of the counter. It inspires a lot of confidence.

Next time I’m in Ferndale and looking for some good food, I’ll definitely be back.

I decided to try this place on my lunch break, tempted by the rave reviews and my craving for Thai food. I ordered my usual Thai dish—chicken pad Thai with a side of coconut curry sauce. The meal was decent and I’d order from here again. You get a great amount of food for the price which is a plus. Additionally, the staff was very helpful, especially since it was my first time ordering/trying this restaurant. 8/10.

I ate here, December 27 around 3:30 PM. My food was very good. Service was fast. I ordered chicken pad Thai. I got home and noticed there was no peanuts on it. I thought that was out of the norm. I also enjoyed a cup of some type of coconut soup that was very delicious. I will be visiting again. Can’t wait.

Terrible. So dry. No sauce. Just a bunch of noodles. This used to be my favorite place to get pad thai. I asked for extra sauce and it was mainly water with a bunch of noodles no flavor to it…waste of money so sad…:(
