08.23.2025 — Picked up an order from Bangkok Belly: Teriyaki Chicken, Beef Pad Thai, Gyozas, and Peanut Sauce. Unfortunately, nothing hit the mark.
The Teriyaki Chicken looked off right away—dark, gritty, and tough to chew. Not exactly appetizing.
The Beef Pad Thai? Four sad pieces of beef that chewed like jerky. Zero flavor, all struggle.
The Gyozas came drowning in grease, laid on a bed of wilted spinach. End result? Everything just tasted like oily spinach.
And the peanut sauce—the one thing I thought would save the meal—was bland and forgettable. As well as the white rice was grainy and off.
I wanted to love this place. I really did. But the whole experience was a letdown. Super disappointing!!!
Take out only.

Great Thai food in Norwood Park, at a great price. The service has always been fast when I’ve gone. I’ve been here about 5 times and will definitely keep coming back.
I usually get takeout food, but have dined in once and it was fast service too. The dining room is small but has several larger tables and some smaller ones. I have included a photo of the takeout menu showing phone number and hours.
The food is fresh and the flavors are delicious. I love the vegetable fried rice with pineapple, the crispy vegan egg rolls with sweet & sour sauce, and the cucumber salad.

Delicious vegan egg rolls and edamame. The tofu red curry has a variety of perfectly cooked vegetables. The tofu in the curry is fried & tasty. The avocado in the salad is ripe and the greens are fresh. The owners are friendly. I ordered one meal, two appetizers and one salad. Ate dinner for two days. Very affordable. Will order again.

Currently, they only offer takeout. Great variety on their menu including Chinese and Korean cuisine. They also have a large sushi menu.
I had the basil fried rice and it was very authentic Thai flavored.
Unfortunately, service was not very friendly. Nothing negative, just very reserved and quiet.

I’ve always enjoyed dining at Bangkok Belly, and the food used to be fantastic. However, something feels off lately—it’s just not as good as it once was. The flavors aren’t as vibrant, and the dishes don’t have the same impact. We still love the place and eat there, but I hope they figure out what’s going on with the taste. Another issue is that we’ve been wanting to dine in, but they continue to use “COVID” as the reason we can’t sit down, even though it’s 2025 now. It’s frustrating, but we continue to enjoy their food at home. Still, I hope they can get back to what made them great!
