Detroit Shipping Company is a family favorite when we come to the city. Last time we were here, a friend ordered the crispy broccoli and offered a taste. It was so good! Today I ordered it for myself and I gorged myself, give it a try, it doesn’t even taste like broccoli!! And it has a tasty aioli drizzle that takes it to the next level!

The pad thai roll looks and sounds appealing but do not be fooled unless you want unflavored rice noodles in a large unflavored rice noodle with some sauce on the top/side. I’m sure some of their other food is good but with so many other great Thai options in the city I would never get this again.

Very delicious food with really sweet and helpful staff! Chef G is THE SWEETEST! I really like how they offer gluten free and vegan options!!! The portions are also HUGE, I always have to take the leftovers home.
For entrees, I love the shrimp and salmon bowl, fried chicken bowl, and candied beef bowl. That candied beef sauce is MAGIC! Then, for appetizers, I love the crab rangoons and chicken bao buns. I’m a long time customer and I always come here in the winter for the pho. Very comforting and delicious! Hopefully the pad thai roll makes a comeback this winter too

The food was great and I recommend it. I ate from here at Detroit Shipping Company and ordered a decent portion of the menu you for my family and I to try. The bao with fried chicken were amazing. The chicken was crispy and juicy and it has a sweet sauce on it. The walking chicken dumplings on a stick were delicious. The filling was a great consistency and flavor, the outside was crispy, and the sauces on top were killer. Lastly, the crispy chicken bowl was everything I wanted it to be and more. It was crispy, juicy chicken covered in sauce (with a spice level of your choosing) over sticky rice and broccoli.

I came from Columbus, OH this weekend and was looking for GF options in the city. I remembered eating here a few years ago and forgot how AMAZING the food is! My shrimp crab rolls were too fishy tasting to eat so I gave them away but the crispy chicken?!?!? I’m not ashamed to say I kept coming back to the fridge to graze all night. It stayed crispy! 3 days later, back in OH, I’m craving it so bad I’m scrolling the menu online . RUN DON’T WALK to this place.

My wife had the grilled Salmon and Shirmp bowl and I got the Fried Shrimp bowl. Both of them were served with sticky rice and Veggies. We also got pork fried dumplings from Nepali Dumpling boot which also highly recommended.
Overall, We enjoyed our American street food experience at Detroit Shipping Co.

An amazing restaurant experience! Very cool vibes, awesome artwork and fun atmosphere for anyone of any age. Lots of places to eat both inside and out. They have backyard games and very delicious restaurants to order from, like a food truck, shipping container building. We ate from the Thai, burger and Napali options and loved everything we got. Highly recommend, it’s super fun and amazingly delicious! Ger the mango sticky rice for sure!
