The first time going, the live music Southern Jack played music was great. The food was good. The burnt ends my favorite. We did order fish fry as well. Drinks were really good. Great atmosphere.
My only dislike is that there is no cocktail menu.
Would most definitely recommend!

Banditos has a very good fish fry, but try and order for take out. Impossible. Nobody to answer the phone and instruct you to leave a message. Ok so I leave a message for my food order and time when I would be picking up. I arrive at the time requested and of course I’m told they didn’t check the messages. Trying to find someone to even ask is a feat. They probably need additional help. Food quality is important but if customer service is lacking people will think twice before coming.

Felt like a beach resort!! Amazing atmosphere ! Theres nothing like listening to steel drums while drinking Mai Tais ! Great service all around and the castle just makes the setting even cooler! Great for family nights, date nights or solo nights out!!

This bar is the pride and joy of downtown East Dundee. In the day time it is a cool and fun place to grab a meal. In the night time it is an interesting, lively, and great place to grab a drink. What stands out is the environment, which I would say is one of the best settings I’ve seen in a bar (pictures attached). Everything is well maintained and clean. The food quality and taste is why I give the place a four star. The crowd is very diverse and one can find a place with anyone there. Drinks are average priced too. The staff is very friendly and add to the rating. I will be back again!

OMG…. WOW! This is my first time here and I Am In Awe. I came in for something small, just a bite after a workout and WOW LOL. I ordered a Turkey BLT. It comes as a wrap or a salad and I was looking for an actual toasted bread sandwich. Boy was I amazed! Saoirse is my Staff Member (I don’t like to use the word waitress its soooo cliché). I explained to her what I was looking to order and she said that they didn’t have actual bread slices, but if I wanted to try it on Texas toast I could. Omg I was so delighted to try something new! I was like Yes Please ☺️. Texas Toast with turkey, lettuce, tomato, bacon, cheddar cheese, egg and avocado. Hold the onions please lol. She was soooo polite. The wait wasn’t long at all. I’ve never had sweet potato tots before and they looked amazing. I felt like a kid in a candy store. Saoirse asked if I liked honey mustard and I replied yes, why? She said that the tots tasted great with honey mustard, so I said ok with anticipation. I almost forgot about the sandwich for the tots! Lol, I would order these and take them home for dinner or a snack. I’m just sitting here giggling to myself with my tots because here is a tasty treat. This place is located in Downtown Dundee, just east of the Fox River and north of Main Street. Great place for a big crowd or party. Indoor and patio seating. Smoking only on rooftop or courtyard only. If you’ve never had sweet potato tots, please make your way here, and I’m sure everything else on the menu is amazing! And make sure you tip your Staff Member. Mimi Out! Lol

We went to see 7th Heaven play at 3 pm. Very good crowd at start of show. We arrived a little after 1 pm to have drinks and lunch. The place is quite large. Outdoor patio seats were metal and hard to sit on. Seats at the bar were padded and much more comfortable. Seats inside also had padding. Tip ….if your going to sit at an outdoor table bring a soft seat cushion or skip the table and sit at the bar or inside. I had the boneless chicken wings. There were alot of them and they were good but I think they were frozen and pre breaded. BBQ sauce was ok. It had taken us awhile to get a menu. Over a half hour after asking our waitress. She never did bring us one but we were able to steal a menu printed on a piece of paper off of another table. We also asked the waitress and bartender for a drink menu. Apparently that is not a thing here. Bartender said we should have them but we don’t. So we ordered a mai-tai that I had seen under the reviews a few days before. It was very good. Hats off to the bartender! All the food we saw looked appealing and as we got closer to show time and the place was filling up the food was coming out of the kitchen pretty regular. 2 more friends joined us just before showtime to eat and drink and they seemed to like the food. Drinks come in a neat little green plastic cup. I would like to try this place another time during non peak hours. It’s a perfect little venue to watch a band play but if it rains the show will be canceled as they fo not have an indoor stage. If management is reading this there was something in the tree above the front of the stage. We were worried that it may fall down onto a customer or service team member. Take a look.

This is the second time that I have been to this establishment and both times have been subpar. The service is slow and the food is not great. The live bands are what make this place happen. My server Bryan W. accidentally spilled lemonade on me and my food when he was serving us our drinks, and I understand that things happen, so that is not why the one star. He did bring me out non wet food very shortly after that had happened. The one star is for being charged twice, I was charged for a drink originally that I did not get and then I was charged again so I am paying almost double for one meal with the same check number. He asked to start a tab originally when we got there for food and to hold my credit card, but when I asked for the check, it was just automatically charged. If he would have not run the bill right away, I would have caught this mistake, but that did not happen and that is not my job. I asked Bryan and he said he voided the first one but when I checked my credit card, clearly he did not and now I have to make a dispute with my credit card company. It is the simple things in life when it comes with being a server and running a cashier that people just can’t do and those people should not be doing the things they cannot do.
Updated to 2 stars for getting my refund on my credit card, but what a pain on the butt.

Notes from my visit on 9/28/25:
The live band was amazing and the food was solid for bar food, but the overall service left a lot to be desired. We sat on the covered side patio and quickly learned there was no server for that section, so everything had to be ordered at the bar. The bartender, Alena, was slow, distracted, and forgot about our requests more than once. I asked twice for the Chiefs game to be put on the patio TV, only to be told later they “couldn’t figure it out.” Instead, every outdoor bar TV was switched to the Bears, while one stayed stuck on Cubs postgame long after the game ended. When I pressed further, I was told the inside bartender, Jaden, would handle it—but nothing was ever done. My 7-year-old and I ended up having to stream the game on my phone after being brushed off multiple times.
Food came out suspiciously fast (mozzarella sticks in under 3 minutes, likely reheated leftovers) and Alena prioritized chatting with coworkers over service. At no point did I see a manager step in or staff who seemed genuinely happy to be there. The employees came across as overworked, undertrained, and checked out.
For context: I’m a GM at a sports bar that uses the same iPad/box system to control TVs. It’s absolutely possible to manage multiple games at once without upsetting customers, and it was obvious no one here was trained or empowered to do so. It was frustrating to have what should’ve been a fun Sunday—live music, food, and football—derailed by staff who either didn’t care or weren’t supported enough to do their jobs well.
The band and food were good enough that I might give it another shot, but be warned: if you come here for sports, don’t count on the staff to care about your game. Unless management steps up training and customer service, this place will keep running on great music and food—but with lousy hospitality.

Although the food was very good and the band was excellent, the service had a lot to be desired. Several people at our table had to go to the bar themselves to get drinks as the waitress just wasn’t coming back. Also, the drinks weren’t always made correctly so the people at our table returned them.
