My husband and I went and had dinner here tonight. My husband got The Wild West Burger, it was OK but not great. It didn’t have any caramelized onions on it but our waitress, Shay – I believe, went and got some for him. He also had the brussel sprouts instead of fries which he really liked! I had the grilled salmon with the honey bourbon glaze with a baked potato and side salad with 1000 Island dressing and Texas toast. Mine was really good but didn’t have enough glaze (I didn’t think any at first) however Shay went and got some more for me so that was good. We had sweet tea and half and half tea which wasn’t sweet at all but they immediately took care of that and all drinks after were spot on. We ended with an Oreo mousse which was ok but could have been better with some crushed up Oreos in it. We waited awhile to be seated which is to be expected on a Friday evening however the spring in the door needs adjusting as it kept slamming as people were going in and out and the wall was shaking where we were standing- maybe check it out. They have just opened recently but all in all it was a really good evening and we enjoyed our date night!

There was a 45-minute wait, a local attorney came in and got a seat before us and we had already been waiting for a table for 20 minutes. Finally got a seat, and bartender is new, so drinks took about 20 minutes to arrive. The only good thing was our waiter, she was great and kept us in the loop of all delays. Food was “ok,” but for a couple on date night and 2 steak dinners, it was $88. Not worth the money in the least. At least the server was super nice and helpful. Steak was burnt, too and was supposed to be medium well…

Nice atmosphere and interesting menu. I ordered the ribeye steak medium rare. The steak I received was more medium than medium rare but was tasty. The problem was it was only 3/4 inch thick and is harder to cook properly. For the price I felt I should get a thicker cut.

Our experience at Bandera was absolutely wonderful! My filet was cooked perfectly, the salmon was phenomenal, and the asparagus was some of the best I’ve ever had! They hand-made all the salad dressings and even the cinnamon butter for the rolls! Our server, Brooklyn, was attentive and sweet. We are looking forward to coming back again soon.

Restaurant is very small so we expected a long wait time. We only had to wait about 15 mins and the service was decent, considering how small the place is. We ordered the queso as an appetizer and it just was not very good. My wife and I both ordered the 12 oz. Ribeye topped with a mushrooms and garlic with a loaded baked potato and a salad. The salad never came. The steak was flavorless and the baked potato was not cooked all the way through. I rarely ever leave food on my plate and I only finished half of my steak. The mushrooms on top of the steak were burnt and had a very charred taste. We were also informed that they were out of a lot of stuff on the menu. I have had better food for far less money.

It was around 9 pm when we arrived and no wait. We ordered a filet mignon requested medium, it came out well done full of grizzle. Wife ordered a burger which she ate and appeared to be good. I like crispy fries these were more like wax fries. The salad was good after requesting more cesar dressing. Appitizer was okay nothing to brag about. Our waitress was friendly and took good care of us and the staff was very friendly. Not sure I will return after the food that was given to me.

Took over 1.5 hours for one appetizer, a burger with fries and a steak with a salad and fries.
Spinach artichoke dip was watered down, the pita and tortilla chips that came with it seemed like the end of the bag…. All small pieces. We had to ask for the salad once the entrees came out because it never came.
Waitress never came to check on us and when we asked for the check we never got a pen to fill it out.
AWFUL SERVICE, AWFUL SERVICE AND AWFUL PRICES. Dang it I really wanted a good place in Jasper PAID $64 BEFORE TIP

Came in for lunch with parents. Wasn’t very busy. Long waits, but good food. Very nice staff. Good for a long lunch while talking or doing something else, more “family restaurant,” less fast food.
The hours on here need to be updated. Has WiFi, but most of the staff don’t know the password. The person I asked asked someone else though, got it pretty quickly.
They didn’t have the black bean burger, ordered by one of parents, in stock that was on the menu, but that was fine and got addressed fairly promptly. They played country music that wasn’t really to my taste (I don’t really enjoy country music besides maybe NBuna), but I think my parents enjoyed it.
The server was very nice, but kinda overstretched once more people came in. Of course they didn’t have many staff on Thursday afternoon, around lunchtime. If it’s too busy, it might be good to avoid for the time being unless they hire more people. That’s fine though, just as long as that’s what you’re prepared for.
Prices are medium, definitely more of a place to go when you don’t care about it taking a while, rather than a place to just have food like Maccas or such. Either a place that will be enjoyable or won’t be, doesn’t seem like something for everyone. Kinda the essence of a small town restaurant, in both good and bad ways.

Don’t do it. This place has a long way to go on food prep and more training for the staff. We hoped for the best with a new place, but appetizers ice cold, meat overcooked and not good quality, hot fries came after the check was delivered, etc. Very nice people, but seemed like everyone was new to rest. biz. Hope it gets better or it won’t survive.

Went for dinner on 12/14/23. There was an empty table and we waited. Witnessed the interaction between wait staff and mgr. No wait staff wanted to take additional table. I watched how each waitress had 3 tables and didn’t want additional work. After 15 mins we left. Will not return. Too bad bc we were there on 12/5 and food was amazing.
