I’m doing this review with standards comparable to Paducah, KY, as my favorite and best BBQ still stands #1 in my book— KY Hillbilly BBQ in Wickcliffe.
This BBQ is much better than Starnes. Smoke Flavor, consistency are on point .They have several kinds of BBQ sauce to which I tried the Chicago Smokey one. It was good I prefer a looser sauce on pulled pork, tho. It takes away from the organic smoke flavor. I ordered the pick 2 : pulled pork and brisket. My one complaint at Hillbilly is they are out of stuff early on (because it’s so good!) Also they are open 7 days a week and cash only (don’t forget cash and go try them out!) I’ve traveled 35 min just for the food before, but I ALWAYS stop here on the way to Cape Girardeau for work.Tonight I selected slaw and tater salad, but the dude alerted me when I got there he put in dbl portion tater salad since they were out of slaw. (Which I was fine with) The potato salad at Hillbilly blows Bandanas out of the park.
Over all 3/5 in general but for Paducah in comparison to other restaurants that have BBQ
I give a 4/5. The guy was very friendly and nice and as far as price and portions, hillbilly BBQ still beats in that category as you can get the same portions 2 sides and a meat or 2 meats for under $16 (cash only) again, if BBQ is your thing, you have to try Hillbilly at least once!
I mean, the food was good quality . Will I be back? Maybe… but the price could use some work I paid $27 (unaware if this is more because I ordered online or not) I’m not in charge but if I were, I think $18-23 is enough for the value, quality and portion. Am I missing anything? People seem to think the prices are great… but not in comparison to where I’ve been (sorry) it’s still good food!
You can get an entire Boston butt at Hillbilly for $40 (can’t really beat that) I’ve heard Banana does catering . Maybe the price is cheaper for larger portions? I mean, the prices for their sandwiches are more like it . But I had to try multiple meats as I’m an indecisive person.. plus I was safe rather than sorry if I was spending $27, I wanted to make sure I was getting a decent portion and it stated 6oz each. Check out the photos first one is how it looked when I opened the box

Glad we found another Bandana’s. We used to eat at the locations in Arnold and Branson, Missouri. The Paducah location brought back some fond smoky memories. Not the best of locations as it’s tucked behind a busy intersection, but the atmosphere is good and the BBQ is even better. Love all of the sauce options.

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The garlic bread was amazing. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Country and rustic decor around the restaurant. Definitely one of my new favorite BBQ places.

Great food, good prices, and great service. Our server Amaya was so sweet! Great potato salad. Nice sauce selection too. This is a good quick bite to grab if you are looking to stay close to the highway but not eat fast food!

Good food, reasonable prices, and convenient to the interstate. Wife was happy to be able to get the chicken sandwich with dark meat. Pork and burnt ends were tasty, and it was fun to taste all the different sauces. (I liked the KC style best.

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint! I ordered the brisket sandwich with okra and chicken tenders for my son. We both LOVED IT! Our server was really nice & attentive. Check this restaurant out if you’re in the area.

Casual dining with a western twist. I had the burnt ends and added a rib, it was delicious. I chose the creamy coleslaw and baked beans. The beer I added was ice cold. Service was fast, friendly, and helpful.

We have been here a few times now and each time everything was really good. Seated quickly. Server very attentive. We have tried all the meats they have and havnt found one yet that hasn’t had a great taste. Was pleasantly surprised at the taste of the meats before you put sauce on them. They have about 5 different sauces you can try. I think the ribs are the best though.. the sides are very good as well. Definitely recommend.
