Had a pleasant experience in this cafe. I had Bun Cha Hanoi, Spaghetti Carbonara, and Lychee Tea with Aloe Vera, everything tastes nice but not outstanding. They’re like comfort food. Ambience is also nice, as there are some spots to take pictures.

The prices of the food were quite a bit expensive than what I expected.
Havent tried their pastries and coffee tho.
The ambiance of the place was very welcoming although during our visit there were quite a few renovations ongoing we werent able to take a pic on their iconic outdoor.

Bancong was the perfect choice for our last day in Hanoi.
We made a reservation because my husband wanted something romantic, and the staff truly surprised us — everything was beautifully arranged and exceeded our expectations.
The atmosphere was intimate and charming, the service was attentive and warm, and the whole experience felt very special. It was super awesome and such a memorable way to end our time in Hanoi.

Fell in love with the ambiance of the cafe. Was planning to go in for a coffee but ended up having Hi-Tea instead, after we saw the menu. The waitress helpful and fluent in English as well – she explained the ingredients and mostly recommended the best food for us.
The food were incredible. Flavorful wedges, fresh handful spring rolls and the drinks were all great! Would definitely come back for more drinks bfore going home soon.

We ordered their famous egg coffee, cơm tấm, and bún chả. The food was superb. The staff are friendly and they speak and understand English well, so we didn’t have any difficulty communicating. We were seated by the window and truly enjoyed the lovely ambiance of Vietnam.

First time in Vietnam, first egg coffee was 5 days ago and didn’t like it so i thought that was it until we sat here for our last meal in Vietnam. The lady recommended their egg coffee and saw posts as well about this coffee in this restaurant so I gave it a try. Omg i love it!!! We also love the quality of the meat from their Bun Cha. Bonus was the yummy dessert called Banana Cake with fresh cream – it tastes like the Banoffee at Banapple in the Philippines! Overall service is excellent. The ambiance upstairs will give you a combination of majestic and ancient feel. They have a flower shop too so you eat with fresh flowers on the table.

I had an absolutely wonderful meal and experience at Bančong Cafe & Restaurant in the Hanoi Old Quarter! This place deserves every one of its five stars.
First, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. They were attentive, helpful, and had genuine smiles—it truly enhanced the whole experience.
And the food? Simply delicious! I highly recommend trying their specialties. I ordered the Fried Pho, and it was perfectly crispy, flavorful, and a refreshing twist on a classic. The famous Vietnamese Egg Coffee was also divine—rich, creamy, and the perfect finish to the meal.
Plus, you can’t miss the place! Their Christmas entrance decorations were festive, bright, and made finding the restaurant very easy.
If you’re in Hanoi, make sure to stop by Bančong. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better people!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with my family. Despite our group of nine, the restaurant was able to arrange two tables right next to each other. The balcony seating was great. We ordered bún chả, which tasted good, and I was impressed by the lychee tea—it had a strong tea flavour rather than just tasting like syrup.
