Good food, friendly staff, and very quick service. Portions are reasonable, and the flavors are authentic. Good place if you’re not looking for a fancy spot. Definitely a solid choice for South Indian food when visiting Niagara Falls

I had the pleasure of trying South Indian cuisine for the first time today & I can honestly say it was an awesome experience. I was served by Vikram and riya who were both pleasant . Vikram took the time to explain what was in each meal according to our preference (since we aren’t fans of spicy) and was extremely helpful. Riya was pleasant and equally attentive. My husband and I enjoyed our time here and found it to be affordable for the amount of food we got. I recommend the chicken 65 and the chicken chettinadu curry with the mango juice and curd! Absolutely to die for!

Great tasting food. Limited menu but everything on the menu is made fresh and tastes very nice. The chicken dum biryani is very good ,quantity can be increased for the price. Even all the curry’s are good. Recommend this place for good South Indian food at Niagara Falls. Walkable from the falls.

Don’t go for the ambience it is very average but the food was good and the servers were kind and friendly!! We ate veg biryani, medhu vada and onion uttapam all tasted really good and was freshly made. They don’t make their naans fresh but use frozen naans (information courtesy: reviews) so when I asked the server she confirmed that it’s true and that’s when we flipped our menu choices to rice and South Indian dishes! Not a bad place but an average one I would say!!

We had a nice experience at banana leaf.
Everything was so good and we got to taste the authentic South Indian dishes after a very long time. The chef was so welcoming and kind. Although it’s a bit pricey but must try for the taste 🙂

Tried Banana Leaf restaurant in Niagara and had a great experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the ambience was calm and pleasant. The staff was polite and attentive throughout.
We ordered plain dosa and ghee idly — both were delicious. The highlight was the sambar rice with chicken 65 — an absolutely perfect combo, super tasty! The chicken biryani was just okay, but the mango lassi was refreshing and hit the spot.
Overall, definitely worth a visit if you’re craving South Indian flavors in Niagara.

The food is okay but i felt disgusted with being tricked by the staff. We planned to order a sambar rice, a Chettinadu chicken curry for two of us with a mango lassi and a plain dosa to share. The staff kindly told us the dosa doesn’t go well with the curry and recommend us to order the Malabar Parotta. I took his word and instantly regretted it once I saw the $7.99 parotta. I’m 90% sure it’s a reheated frozen parotta, like the one you can get for $5 for 5 in the freezers of any Asian stores. It was barely hot, not stretchy inside, smells nothing but oily. I’d rather have a dosa which MAY NOT go with our curry but is at least freshly made. The Chettinadu chicken curry tastes good with rich, layered flavors. And the sambar rice also tastes alrighty though we expected bolder flavors. However, the dirty trick of the staff is unforgivable and ruined our experience.
