This place has had several owners over the past few years. It used to be a sit down restaurant when Dolly owned the place, and the food and service were outstanding! However, with an aging clientele (this was a few years before the many new housing plans were developed and built) and an unfortunate family emergency, Dolly sold the place. The restaurant portion, though small, was always cozy and warm, and the staff, particularly Barb, treated you like close family. Although Dolly and Barb have moved on to other ventures, the quality service and attention to detail have continued. The newest owners have converted the restaurant to a cafe, and they serve breakfast food and drink in the AM. From lunch on, they serve excellent pizza, appetizers and entrees. Their catering is exceptional; both our family and friends have used them for parties and the guests rave about the food. Banana Peppers is a South Hills hidden gem!

This used to be one of the best pizza places around but they have recently fallen off. Spent $70 there and everything was awful. The pizza we ordered was missing toppings along with the hoagies. Besides not getting everything you ordered the food taste bland. Pizza dough they started using is disgusting. Very sad this place went down hill bc this was one of the best.

The best kept secret in the South Hills. Banana Peppers is my “go to” for catering. The food is excellent. The prices are affordable. And the owners are very hospitable. At least one person from every party Banana Peppers catered for me has ordered from them for their parties.

Already great food for pizza, hoagies and salads. The new coffee shop is great. It is a coffee shop with a kitchen atmosphere. Just around the corner from my house. It is going to be my first stop for coffee instead of the big stores on Rt 51. My daughter ordered a hot chocolate and she really enjoyed that too. Since they are open until 4pm on most weekdays, I can take the kids there after school for treats too. Glad they started the coffee shop there. Frank S. Jefferson Hills, PA

Thin crust style cheese pizza with delicious homemade red sauce was great. The specialty pizza, Steak Gone Bananas, is extremely tasty. The salads are very large and a great value. Definitely a thumbs up!

Banana Peppers exceeds itself every time I eat their food. The staff is so friendly they feel like family. Everything they make is phenomenal. The pizza, pasta, hoagies, meatballs, calzones, salads anything! The tomato basil cream sauce is out of this world. They are also great at doing catering orders for large groups. We order catering from them regularly at Day Toyota. By far the best food for the price in the area. Please do yourself a favor and try Banana Peppers today! You’ll be glad you did!

Ordered 5 XL pizzas for an event and all of them were great. Spinach and feta was fantastic, and the pepperoni they use is perfect. Great job!

This pizza is pretty good and reasonably priced. The service is fairly fast as well. No where to eat inside but that’s fine.
