This was my first time trying Malaysian cuisine and I absolutely loved it. The menu is great and self explanatory, the waiters are helpful and nice, and I like the vibe and the bamboo interior. The food was absolutely delicious. I asked for mine to be super mild and it was, but still very much flavorful. The homemade roti canai is a must try! I’ll definitely be back for more.

Excellent tasty food served with care. The owner personally took our orders and provided humble service. This was my first time trying this style of cuisine and I was pleasantly surprised. Moreover, they have vegeterian options too. There is plenty of indoor seating for small groups to meet up. Highly recommend this place

Visited here on New Year’s Eve, had a lunch, we had ordered – Indian mee goreng, fried chicken wings and the Thai pineapple fried rice. The mee goreng was really good and flavorful, the wings had a mild flavor and the sauce that came with it was good. However the fried rice was bland. Overall a decent experience.

the food and experience was quite disappointing.

man upfront (in glasses) was so unfriendly and unwelcoming. i asked what was in the nasi lemak and he showed me a picture (i can see that) but there’s no description whatsoever, he couldn’t care to explain? my husband was asking how long this business has been, he side eye then answered insincerely “19 years” ok small talk is not your thing it’s fine but attitude needs to be in check.

the place was dull and staff just looks so unhappy. it’s kinda sad tbh. it’s like their unhappiness reflects in the way they treat people.

for the food — martabak has super thin layer of beef. dough was severely undercooked. you could definitely made this with a tad bit more oil and increase the heat of the griddle. the curry it came with was super watered down. flavourless.

nasi lemak was not good at all. the “sambal” was simply sliced onions with chili paste. the chicken was 2-3 small dice of chicken BITES. it was an abundant amount of rice for so little sides to pair with.

mee siam does not taste like mee siam. it has the wok hey for sure but flavour was lacking so much.

drinks were good but it’s 1/3 drink 2/3 ice. just a couple of sips, boom your drink is done.

the picture speaks for itself.

to me, this business is so stingy. they really skimp out on stuff for the price you’re paying, it’s not worth it.

+ i’m sorry but this does not represent malaysian cuisine at all. despite me being from a neighbouring country to malaysia, the food and experience IS a misrepresentation of malaysia.

first and last visit.

I went to this restaurant for dinner because it was an easy walking distance from my hotel near the Convention Center. I decided to get Chow Kueh Teow, and it was really good Its “smoky” flavor was delicious. I thought I would not be able to finish it, but I did. The downside was that I had no space for one of their attractive desserts

The service was efficient, and the restaurant was peaceful (I came in just after 8 PM). I’ll come back to try the dessert next time.

The foods were great! But the atmosphere was not. We were seated at the back where there were 2 birthday parties going on at the same time. My friends and I were barely able to hear each other.

1 star, and that’s being generous. I would give zero if I could. The service was beyond terrible. It took an unreasonable amount of time just to get water, and even longer for the waitress to bother asking what we wanted to drink. The restaurant was not crowded at all, so there is absolutely no excuse for how slow and careless the service was.

When we were ready to order, we sat there while staff stood around playing and doing everything except their jobs. Everything dragged on for no reason and it felt like our time simply did not matter.

To make it worse, the food was mediocre and nowhere near good enough to make up for the awful service. The entire experience felt unprofessional, disorganized, and unwelcoming. I will not be returning, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Vegetarian perspective

Luckily I was there with someone very familiar with Malaysian food who made the food orders. Everything was so delicious, and they were able to accommodate for vegetarian, including by adding tofu. We got the keuh teow, red curry and fried ice cream. Everything came out quickly and service was great. Love the interior too, looks like a little town!

Don’t be fooled if you come into this place and it’s empty.

I came in here with my girlfriend and we were served hot, delicious food. I had the char kueh teow and it can go toe to toe with char kueh teow from a Kuala Lumpur hawker. I hereby certify this joint as a Malaysian!

We were pleasantly surprised with the food! We had the mango salad, mixed satay, nasi lemak, rendang rice (beef), and the pork chops. The place was nice and quiet during an early lunch time on a Sunday. The food arrived quickly too! I would recommend this for anyone looking to try Malaysian cuisine. Don’t worry if you have low spice tolerance!
