Banana Leaf Indian Cuisine

  4.5 – 129 reviews   • Indian restaurant

Started as a food truck in 2011, serving authentic home style Indian food and few Mexican dishes with a dash of Indian Flavor!. With tremendous customer support and love for our food we branched out as Brick & Mortar inside Simmons Tower back in 2015. We have a passion for creating innovative and thoughtful dishes that taste unique and healthy food. Typical Indian dishes like Chicken 65/ Cauliflower are baked instead of frying. We use high quality ingredients, never frozen chicken, fresh vegetables . Our restaurant is located inside Simmons Tower Lobby in the corner of Capital Ave and Broadway . Come and Enjoy our Food!!

Such good prices for such great food. Service was very nice, portions were good, and their menu caters to a lot of different diets. Indian Mexican food is a delicious combo you don’t want to miss out on. The chicken currito is a must.

One of my favorite Indian lunch places in Little Rock. Their food is fresh, flavorful, and delicious! The Chicken Biryani, Chicken 65, Roasted Cauliflower, and the other items on the menu are amazing. I can feel their cooking from the heart!

The owners are very friendly, and wonderful. Highly recommended spot!

Wow, just tried the Chicken 65 meal here, and it was AMAZING! It’s not deep-fried (very healthy) but tastes 2x better than anything I’ve tried before MA. It’s also halal, which deserves even more extra points! The rice has peas and cilantro, and the flatbread is also great. The cauliflower side dish tastes so succulent. Highly recommended.

When I walked in, I was met by the nicest gentleman. He explained the dishes to me and I ultimately settled on Chicken 65 $10.99 with quinoa($2 up-charge but better for diabetics) with two veggies and one more added($3.00), and 4 veggie pastries ($2.50 each). It’s a very affordable place to dine. The dish itself had the sauce on the side, which I love because I don’t usually like a lot of sauce. I chose to just put the lime on it which added another level of flavor ((soooo gooood)). The atmosphere is business oriented, bright, and busy. Can’t wait to come back!

I’m so mad I didn’t give this place a try sooner. The years I’ve missed getting to eat this delicious food. All the food is absolutely amazing. I have had several dishes, and they have never disappointed. The auntie always does an amazing job and always makes everything they way you want it. If you don’t give this place a try you will have major food regret!

The food was okay. I grew up eating Pakistani food. I’ve had home cooked chicken biryani way better than this. The portions aren’t very big for how much it costs. It also gave me food poisoning BOTH times I tried it. I’m used to eating spicy food so the spice wasn’t the issue here. The biryani was just “hot”, not necessarily flavorful. Had a lot of spices and herbs in the rice that ruined the texture for me.

I don’t want to cook tonight so I’m here for Togo at 2pm at first it’s too hard to find location it’s located in Simmons bank enter in turn right just keep going you’ll find on left. You can fina a kiosk just order pay and grab probably you don’t see anyone at desk. You know what I thought they do serve masala like some lite spicy stuff in biryani but nothing just biryani rice with few boiled chicken pieces and for spicy they sprinkled paprika added chicken 65 as side ya I like 65. I can give 5/5 to curd small cup and 65. They do have seating dine in may be for 20 people. Hard to find parking.

I work in the Simmons Tower and it’s not unheard of that I get my lunch from here multiple times a week. I prefer to order in person at the counter because the owner always brightens my day. I’ve worked in restaurants for most of my life and I’m always impressed by how attentive and hard-working she is. The food at Banana Leaf is absolutely delicious. The flavors are on point and they are always willing to make any adjustments to fit my needs. Here recently I’ve been counting my macros and after I told her that, she weighed up the chicken for me so I knew exactly how much protein I was eating. Everything I’ve had here is tasty. My favorites are the healthy grain bowl, the chicken tacos, the tandoori chicken (with brown rice and black beans as my vegetable), and of course a mango lassi as my beverage. The portion sizes are perfect and they have super affordable options to add extra meat, veggies, tacos etc if you’re super hungry. I’m gonna have to end my review there because I just realized it’s lunch time and I need some Banana Leaf right now!
