Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 – Moo Yang (grilled pork with sticky rice in banana leaf) was grilled well but a touch on the drier side and the sticky rice was quite fragrant. We also ordered the Banana Bay Pad Thai but couldn’t really tell what the difference was from a regular Pad Thai. The dish itself was a bit sweeter than expected but still delicious overall.

Service: 5/5 – super quick service while being polite and friendly! They checked in on us a few times to ensure we had everything we needed.

Ambiance: 5/5 – open spacing feels comfortable and clean. The white couches were probably not the best idea since it looked nice from a distance but was quite stained when you actually looked closer.

Value for price: 5/5 – decent portion sizes for the cost of the food!

Good spot for food and quick bite or nice sit down. Parking sucks and iykyk. The servers are quick and for the most part efficient. The food was very well cooked. I got the crispy chicken plate. Lunch special ran about 10 bucks. Nice size meal and filled me up. Also got the Tom yum soup. Also big portion and rich flavor. Price good food better. Can be busy during lunch week so get there early before 11am if possible.

Great experience. Servers helped take our pics when asked. Food served hot and nearly all at the same time. Brought our dessert at right time at end of meal. Many refills of water, check ins. Great lunch time deals. My friends had not been to Banana Bay – Temple City., but they were impressed. (Former 3x mayor and first Lady of MPK!) We were there from noon to 3, no one rushed us. But it wasn’t too busy on a Tuesday afternoon and there were avail tables, usually this place is packed especially on weekends. Free parking but its an open air shopping mall so parking can be challenging…invoke the parking gods.

Always love coming to this place for Thai food. This time, we tried the spicy salmon. Very beautiful restaurant, but no amount of decor is going to make up for an employee not washing his hand after going to the toilet. I witnessed this and was glad we got our food first, but this makes wonder how many times this goes on? I hope this is addressed or this we become my least favorite Thai restaurant.

Pretty solid Thai food. Came here for a late lunch (after 230pm). It didn’t seem too crowded. However, the service was noticeably slow. Maybe the staff was new or short staffed this particular day. Not certain.
The food was decently flavored with nice condiments. Ordered the drunken noodles, 7 seafood fried rice, and seafood soup. The soup came out timely. All was seasoned nicely. Liked the spicy condiments.
The menu had a decent selection of seafood and veggies. Portion is a nice size. I ordered some food to go as well.
The decor was clean, airy, and modern. Would come back again.

**Came back again after the initial review. Service was rude and rushed. Maybe it was a bad day for the servers. Do NOT get the curry. It’s absolutely distasteful. They need to get this item off the menu.

My favorite Banana Bay is the one in Rowland Heights and this place is close to that level. Overall a solid lunch experience.

I had their crispy hainam chicken and it was delicious, solid quality crispy chicken and perfectly cooked rice. Their pad see eew chicken was a solid selection for the lunch hour.

I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. The location has a lot of seating options and parking spots.

Did take out as my first try looking for new Thai spot. And it won over the family, the taste is good but portions is small. The satay was delicious but man they be skimpy and cut these in half. The pork satay was actually juicier then chicken but both were equally eaten with urgency. Other mentions good were sole fish, beef fried rice and mint leaf chicken . recommendation here is that you get here very early if you want seat inside, It is packed. Takeout was about 30 min and well prepared n packaging good.

Their lunch special is really great! I appreciate that the prices stay the same, and the portion size is still generous

Went here on a rainy Christmas Day with ample seating available. Service was great and pricing fair. Food was typical Thai, I wouldn’t say it the best Thai I ever had but was acceptable if in price range. The negative I have about the food was that the beef was warm to almost cold when served and it was one of the main dishes. Didn’t feel like returning it to the kitchen. Maybe the cook was having a bad day and it was not rush hour busy. Anyhow. Service 5/5, food 2-3/5.
