Me and my partner travelled up to Colchester to go to this restaurant for our anniversary, from the quality of the website to the decorations and atmosphere. The whole trip was a delight. Unfortunately we couldn’t find any parking nearby but there’s nothing wrong with walking! The sun was out so we decided to sit outside, the service was excellent, thank you to the waiter and waitresses who served us, their kindness made our day! Then the food, there is a lunch set menu which saved us spending loads of time trying to decide what to order since we wanted everything, and we went for the £21.80pp set menu which was a platter of starters, vermicelli noodles with grilled chicken and salad with egg fried rice and curry sauce + drink. The portion sizes were filling, we didn’t leave anything and we didn’t feel hungry afterwards either! When we come back to Colchester we would definitely visit here again!

We went there for the first time for a Tet dinner and were blown away! The decor is incredible (much of it handmade by the proprietor himself) and the food is sumptuous, authentic, modern and delicious. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Bambu is a hidden gem and a must-go for anyone who loves proper Asian cuisine and hospitality.

Love the decor of bamboo, up cycled pallets and other wood. The staff were so polite and friendly, attentive without being bothersome.
And the food; delicious, well presented, good portion size and arrived quickly.

The restaurant is set near a river which was nice.
We were greeted and seated straight away.
After placing our order, the food came out quite fast.

The food here is just great. The food is so fresh and flavorful. The staff members are friendly, respectful, and helpful. The restaurant also has a good atmosphere. It’s a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This is an amazing restaurant with a great menu. Only draw back is its location, no parking but saying that it’s worth the walk.

I love Vietnamese food and I go to Kingsland Road often to fix my cravings. I had low expectation to be honest at this place as I have never been to this part of England etc. but the food was surprisingly delicious and authentic. It was so goo, we actually went back the next day. I will definitely go back here again if I happen to be in Colchester.
