A cozy little place with charming and attentive service. There are days when one needs a bit of peace and quiet and no fuss to just dine and have a conversation without having to scream into your hoarse. If you’re in the mood to get away from the noisy and popular hang outs, Bambù Thai might just be your refuge. The tea menu is worth sampling. I tried the Nepali Tea and it was mildly aromatic. We kept our meal simple and light with a Pad Woon Sen and a Thai Fried Rice. The food is fresh, and the taste is as crisp and authentic as I can fathom having never been to Thailand. We will be back for another bite…

I ordered the yellow curry and edamame and I was honestly disappointed. I love ordering yellow curry at Thai restaurants, but here the yellow curry felt like it was more coconut milk than anything so it was kinda bland and the edamame was very light on the salt (which wasn’t as bad too me). My husband really loved his ceviche and the Stir-Fried Seafood though. The service was good, they were very prompt and refilled our waters often.

Our new favorite Thai restaurant. The service is friendly and the waitress made some awesome recommendations so we try some new dishes. The cured sausage/meat was very good. The fried rice was a surprise. Didn’t expect fried rice to be so tasty. LOL. The desserts were creative and more transitional ones were great. Check it out.

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I always splurge on a pot of tea, and I absolutely love their dishes. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough if you need a quiet place to have a good talk with a friend.

So back at my comfort Thai place that always feels like the bar on Cheers. Great neighborhood spot. Pad Kee Mow Boran, an empty plate that “had” a mushroom salad on it (delicious and forgot to take a picture), and the best margarita in Dallas. Yes, at a Thai place and I might mention the owner Shellly is a fan of really good tequila so she knows what she’s doing. If you want great Thai cuisine with an Isan flare, you need to park yourself at Bambu Thai.

If I cooked Thai food, I would hope it would taste exactly like this incredible meal. I ordered 1 in heatness…their scale is 1-3…and I found it to be a 0. Maybe my tastebuds are getting braver…hahaha.
We got there early just two couples and when we left packed. Oh, and takeaway was busy, too.
The upfront workers were more than pleasant. We’ll be back.

The curry, even though I asked for medium spice, was extremely spicy and completely inedible. When I brought it to their attention and mentioned that the spice level was too high to eat, they dismissed my concern and told me it was my problem. To make matters worse, they simply handed me a to-go container.
This was my first and definitely my last visit!
