Bambu in Edmonds is an absolute gem and easily one of the best spots for authentic Vietnamese chè and Asian-inspired desserts north of Seattle. Everything here is made with incredible care and the freshest ingredients—fresh young coconuts cracked daily for that perfect coconut meat and water, house-made pandan jelly, and real fruit in every drink.
The Bambu Special is perfection: a delightful mix of pandan jelly, longan, basil seeds, red tapioca, and coconut that’s refreshing, textured, and not overly sweet (customize your sugar level—I love it at 50%). The Fruit Addict is bursting with fresh fruits, and their smoothies (like taro or avocado) are thick, creamy, and made with real ingredients—no powders here.
Don’t sleep on the pandan waffles—they’re the standout, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, with that fragrant pandan flavor shining through. Hands down the best I’ve had at any Bambu location. The Vietnamese iced coffee is bold, smooth, and brewed the traditional way.
Service is always warm, friendly, and knowledgeable—staff happily explain the menu, offer samples, and make recommendations. The place is clean, vibrant, and welcoming, with generous portions at fair prices ($6-10 for most items). So many options are gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan-friendly too.

Staff are very nice and friendly. We love Bambu. The drinks are so flavorful, think and creamy. We usually order a taro smoothie and the avocado coffee smoothie. But all the drinks we have had are delicious, especially the Che drinks. They have a great variety of drinks too.

One of my friends highly recommended this place for authentic chè drinks, so I decided to give it a try.
I had never heard of chè before, and it seems like it is not easy to find a spot that serves authentic versions in the Seattle area.
The store is located in the same complex as Ranch 99, which makes parking very convenient since there are plenty of free spaces available.
There were a few people ahead of us in line, and it took us some time to decide what to order. My friend suggested either #1 Bambu Special or #2 Bambu Combo, and specifically advised not to get a boba drink here.
I chose the #1 Bambu Special since it was listed as one of their top-selling drinks and had fewer calories than the #2 Bambu Combo. I selected the regular sweetness level to get a more authentic taste of chè.
The drink came out quickly, but after taking a sip, I was not quite sure what I was drinking. It had large chunks of ice, floating basil seeds, pandan jelly, longan, and coconut. Tbh, it was very disappointing. The drink was not cheap. It cost $8.50 before sales tax and tip, bringing the total close to $10.
Is it worth driving all the way to Edmonds and paying almost $10 for this drink at Bambu? Personally, I don’t think so. There are only about five small tables, so it is not the kind of place where you would want to sit and hang out, either. I feel like I could find a better drink and better experience somewhere in Bellevue or Seattle for a similar price.

Love the Vietnamese black ice coffee, regular size $6.35 with tax. Very strong and aromatic! You may pick the sweetness level, 50% is sweet enough! Recommended! Will definitely come back and try other drink and food.

Not your typical boba place. “Che” is a Vietnamese term for dessert that includes many favorite items when I grew up there. Tried the number 1 and 10, or the special and the favorite and loved them both. Each drink is a collection of fresh, chewy, crunchy, sweet, and delicious ingredients. I will definitely come back here for more.

This is one of my favorite dessert spots! All of their drinks and chè are amazing, and the pandan waffle is a dream. I like the red bean combo, taro lover, Bambu combo, Fruit addict. So many great options to choose from. I’ve ordered the pandan waffle at other locations, but they never compared to this location. Theirs is always big, crispy and chewy!

The food and service are excellent. My banana chocolate smoothie was actually a banana that was blended instead of just banana flavor. The waffle was crispy and chewy. The drinks and came out very quickly. Seating is limited, but we had a table. Everything is fairly clean. There are a ton of options for drinks and toppings. I would definitely come back.
