Downhill the last decade, from favorite spot to must avoid. Quality of food has declined, the smell and cleanliness. Service was always good, but it’s irrelevant if food quality is low. Unfortunately, I gave it two last shots, and I will never return. Sad. Salmon terrible. Ice cream over fried.

While the atmosphere and service were stellar, the food was very lacking. Nothing special or out of the ordinary. I had a good time because it was a relaxing place to chill but was unsatisfied with the food. Miso soup, beef, and spring rolls tasted below average. The sushi was decent. I wouldn’t come back here for a meal, but maybe just for sushi and socializing. Happy hour prices are good. Shoutout to the very kind bartender and young man by the door who greeted us upon entering and leaving. Great customer service.

Absolutely love this place! I have lived in Rego Park for 15 years, and this is always my place to go! Food is fresh and delicious, and service is exceptional, kudos to Mike. He is always there but not intruding, and gives great recommendations. Pitcher of beer for $15, you can’t beat that up! Definitely try spicy edamame, my favorite!

Best sushi in Rego Park. The lychees don’t taste like Can lychees. Very delicious and clean. Been there and ordered for delivery and they generous with portions and also accept modifications. I wish the scallion pancakes were like the ones by the subway in Main flushing. Never had an issue with unknown items in the food. I have been eating here long before since Chikurin closed. Delivery is fast also

I normally never send food back let alone a salad. But the salad that came with the lunch meal had dressing that was so thick it was like slathered gravy, so scooping it off still wouldn’t have been enough to make this eatable. When I asked the waitress for a new salad, without dressing or at least have it on the side, she was visibly annoyed. I’m assuming it was her who put the dressing on with no regard for taste or moderation.
When the waitress came back with the salad, she made the comment that I should have told her to have the salad dressing on the side in advance. I held my response as we still had to get our entree and didn’t want her messing with the food as she lost my trust in handling the food and afraid she would tamper with it. To make such a remark was unneccessary if she had used her own eyes and see that the salad dressing was poured over more than there was vegetables.
That interaction and comment made from the waitress ruined my mood to eat or ever come back again. I wish we had not tipped her for the terrible service. The owner should re-evaluate this waitress and her snide remarks.

Wonderful food, horrifying service. A waiter in a more or less empty restaurant chooses to be on his phone rather than attending to the few guests they had.

The dining experience is delightful. You feel very welcome. The service is fast and pleasant. When you walk in, you get to choose where to sit. You can sit in the front at the bar, in the back at the regular dining tables or you can dine in the zashiki style section. In addition to the nice ambiance, the food is amazing and at very affordable price. I recommend their lunch box lunch special. Great spot for date night !!

Food is OK. They’re a little more expensive than the original place That was here: Bamboo Ya. The interior is the same. They didn’t really change much, but the service is made. Luckily, the food is good so I would come back for the food, but not necessarily the service.
