I gave a 2 because the staff was nice and it was quick. But I ordered the chicken chow mein and it was just cabbage, carrots, and chicken. There were no noodles… every chow mein I’ve ever ordered is a noodle stir fry. I tried to just eat what I got but it was so bland and the fried rice it came with tasted old :/ definitely not worth the almost $15 I paid for one meal.

It’s New York Style, but we’ve been going for years, I’m so glad to show support to the local places that we enjoy, And I will bring my money to Bamboo Wok ! The family who has their heart into this place deserve blessing and prosperity.
I was sick, and I saw a video of a guy cooking in a wok.. and I instantly had a craving. I ordered from here.. and it was Comfort food. Just like I remember. And exactly what I was craving for.

I wish I had the gentleman’s name, I called in my order and I had the sweetest guy on the phone. The food was hot and delicious and even got my husband’s fried rice correct with NO onions lol. I’m not sure why they’re rating it’s low right now… we’ve been going there for years with no issues. The boneless spareribs and sweet and sour chicken were yummy! White meat chicken and it’s not dried out.

It was a takeout order so I can give it as a one star for the ambiance atmosphere was something in the background like TV was way too loud. They couldn’t understand me. Took three people to understand that they were charging me approximately $88 for two meals. I paid online when the order was placed. They said it wasn’t although they could see on the receipt of $5 tip was paid so I told him take the $5 tip off. I paid with a second card. Now I have to try to get my $44 back on another means avoid this place. They don’t know what they’re doing. The food is okay, just par everything that ends with wok is just par. They’re all the same so go to the one that treats you correctly

Low quality ingredients equals low quality food. Hunan sauce lacked spice, fried dumpling were literally Breaded and deep fried garbage, egg rolls had that low quality pink meat, spring rolls were only edible dipped in sweet sauce, low mein was eh. Makes me appreciate my normal spot China 1 on Racetrack rd.

Oct 4, 2025, again, we visited one of our favorite places, Bamboo Wok, on Old St. Augustine Road for dinner. As always, we indulged in their tantalizing House Lo Mein and mouthwatering Fried Chicken Wings, which never disappoint. This time, I took a leap and ordered the House Special Mei Fun. This dish truly stands out, featuring egg noodles stir-fried with a colorful medley of vegetables, succulent chicken, shrimp, and tender beef. The curry powder seasoning adds a vibrant hue and the perfect amount of spice, making it a delightful experience without overwhelming the palate with a kick of heat (I think curry lovers would enjoy it).

My family and I have NEVER experienced an issue, and I’m talking ten-plus years of eating here. We know that Bamboo Wok is under new ownership, and the food is still delicious! A pleasant young man named Sam waited on me, very outgoing. We have enjoyed many food items on the menu – Lo Mein, fried Chicken Wings cooked in sesame or peanut oil (possibly) the best I’ve had, and my son love the Egg Foo Young and Mongolian Beef.
You be the judge, try Bamboo Wok for yourself, and I bet you will enjoy it.
