We came here after little experience of Thai restaurants but having recently had a Thai meal with friends in Norfolk, we thought that was good but this was better.
A busy local restaurant with a takeaway attached and a fully Thai staffed kitchen. The front of house was principally students from the UNI and they were lovely. We did enjoy our starter which was designed for 2 people. Our mains took a little longer to appear (that’s a good sign) but the front of house were kind enough to keep us updated and offer us a drink while we waited. My Penang with duck was delish.
Lastly my wife tells me the toilets are clean, roomy and well stocked

We had the best Tom Yum Noodle Soup at Bamboo Thai! The flavours were perfectly balanced —rich, tangy, and with just the right amount of spice. Every bite was packed with fresh ingredients that made the dish incredibly tasty. The service was fantastic, too; the staff were attentive and friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Thai flavours! Thank you so much!

Haha so yummy! Original Thai taste, my kids love it! My son order noodles, my daughter sticky’s rice! I order 53 spicy noodles with fried rice! I am so full now! Very nice! Beside still have 3 car park space

Lovely dine in meal with some flavourful options. Salt and pepper squid and satay tofu for starters. Pad Graprao (I recommend the mince pork with fried egg) and Pad Thai for mains. A bit quiet on a weekday but that’s the only reason the atmosphere didn’t get 5*. Will be back and looking forward to it!

Always loved Bamboo Thai for takeout but recently went for a meal in their new restaurant 😮 absolutely delicious!! Spoken to the owner many a time and so pleased he’s doing well, was really rooting for his success. Did notice when he left the restaurant into the front of house service dropped though, we asked our server on 4 different occasions for the bill or to pay and had to wait around 15mins when there was only 1 other table at the end of the evening whilst she talked. Won’t stop me visiting again though, really authentic cuisine and such a friendly atmosphere and will be booking to visit again soon. Thank you
