Pay before you eat.
The crab Rangoon seemed home made and I ate a lot of them. Very small buffet but the quality seemed better. The peanut chicken was terrible that needs to change. Try a Indonesia peanut sauce.

I love this place. The lady checks in on customers. Food is fresh and clearly made with love. 10/10. I would come again and again. Place is clean and cozy. Feels like we went through time.

My experience here started off with two ladies that wanted to dine there, and one of the ladies that works there or owns the place told them that they are not serving them and that they need to leave which made it pretty uncomfortable, but apparently they died and dashed previously, so I don’t blame her for kicking them out. There wasn’t a huge selection so you would think the food would be warm but I did go for a late lunch at 1 PM so maybe that was why but the only thing that was warm was the egg drop soup the rest of it was room temperature and just not very good. It’s a buffet so there is no service you get your own drinks and fill your own plate every once a while somebody will come by and take a couple plates off your table, but that’s about it for service. The atmosphere on the inside is just what it looks like on the outside nothing fancy kind of small and it gets loud, especially when people are talking on their phones on speakerphone. I believe it was $12-$13 per person for lunch. It is definitely not worth that. I would go back in a pinch, but I probably would find other Chinese places. This is one of the shoes one of the lady’s that got kicked out was wearing. That toe was screaming to get out! Hahahaha

The food variety isn’t good they offer just a couple dishes with chicken,rice and three different kind of dessert. The peppers and steak isn’t good either, not really steak and the peppers not well cooked.

This place is SUCH A JOKE, we read the reviews online and thought we’d give it a shot. We got there and was like, You’ve got to be kidding?? Not exaggerating when I say there wasnt 10 things on the “buffet” (it’s a stretch to call it that). We left and I had to find something else for dinner. The price was too much for no more than was available on the bar. Very disappointing and would not recommend. By far the worst “buffet” we’ve ever been to.

The Bamboo House Buffet was a delightful adventure. I loved that it was thriving in a rural community in the middle of Indiana. The food was delicious, with a wide spread of main Chinese dishes. The price was less than you would expect: $10.99 for the buffet. Here in Michigan I can’t get even one Chinese dish for less than that! The service was as any good restaurant – they were attentive without being overbearing. If given the opportunity to travel here again, I would definitely make it a point to go here, and probably every day that I was in the area.

Solid 5 stars because this is a small building, and it still offers so much! 3 of us for lunch on a Saturday with 3 drinks came to 35.00. Reasonable and the food delicious! Fresh, clean, ambience is restful. I am wheat, peanut, msg intolerant and after 15 years of eating here i have never had a reaction. No msg here, unlike so many american places that i will never eat at again. I recommend the mei fun (stir-fried rice noodle), crab rangoon, hot and sour soup, general tso, mushroom shrimp, chicken broccoli. Yes, there are small cakes and macaroons as well, but i did not eat those, Im too full!
