This was my first visit at Bamboo House. When I walked in, I was skeptical, because it was just past noon and the place was empty. The seats/tables had a diner vibe. Each table has a simple menu in a frame. The owner/server seemed to be the only person working. Everything was clean.
There were two adults and a child in our party. I ordered beef and broccoli, my son ordered General Chicken, and my granddaughter ordered a child’s cashew chicken, which was Springfield style. The food was served in a timely manner, and the portions were decent. Soft drinks came in cans.
The food was DELICIOUS! I was pleasantly surprised. The broccoli in my dish was a bit undercooked, but the flavors of the sauce and other vegetables were so good. My son and granddaughter likewise enjoyed their respective meals.
I had no idea this restaurant existed until my son invited me to meet him there. I will definitely be taking my husband and returning when we are in the area again.

We had the cashew chicken and hot and sour chicken. Food was prepared fresh for us and very delicious. Crab Rangoon was the best I’ve had in this area. It looks like a one man show so call ahead for large orders. Very reasonable prices.

I came from out of state and had a hard time finding good Chinese food that was similar. I have tried various places in different cities in the area and this place is the best. I only get the General Tso’s with lo mein so cannot speak for other dishes. Owner is always very friendly.

Very small restaurant. Looked like only 1 person working. Some of the food was cold and some in our party didn’t get what they ordered. I will not put this on my “good to go” list. Disappointed ☹️

I have tasted allot of chinese and by far my favorite place to eat. Their portions are amazing they don’t give to much nor to little. The food is always piping hot and tasty. I recommend to try if you have not. The service was also really good. The man that usually is in front is super nice and sweet. 10/10 service will eat here again hopefully soon.

Excellent take out Chinese food. We drive from west plains to get it. Don’t be put off by the old building. The guy is friendly and the food is excellent. They bring out to your car. Love the cashew chicken. Better than any in West Plains. Generous portions. Super affordable. Try them out. Call in advance. He will have it ready.

I’ve lived here for months and today was my first time stopping in. I’ll admit the outside always turned me away, but I really wish I would have stopped sooner. I just got some really basic dishes for a quick dinner but they were both good. Going to start coming here all the time. Only bad thing about this place is they don’t have dine in but you call ahead and place your order and they bring it out in about 5 minutes and you never have to get out of your car.
