The food here is decent. Today is Dec 6 and one year ago I could purchase the boneless fried chicken lunch plate for $7.99. Today I ordered the same exact meal and it was 19.97 plus tax. They used to have really good egg rolls that would come with the meal. Now you have to play extra to get an egg roll with your lunch. Also, the quality of the food has diminished tremendously. I use to love this place and I will never, ever eat here again. I can’t wait to Trey Wa opens across the river. It’s a shame to see a once great restaurant turn into the worst Chinese restaurant in all of St. Charles Parish.

Went in for dinner. Had the Buddha plate. It was pretty good but is better with the duck sauce. The wonton are REALLY good. The spring rolls were ok. It was mainly cabbage and no other veggies and very bland in my opinion. The jasmine tea was good. The warmth was perfect for the cold atmosphere. Waitress Julie was really cool. Great atmosphere. Wish they had booths.

We ordered the Sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken and crawfish lo mein. The chicken was so dry, soaking in the sauce wouldn’t even help. Couldn’t pierce it with a fork it was so hard. I have never had a problem at all with anything I ever ordered before. This was supposed to be my birthday dinner and we had it early because they’re closed on Sunday. I was really disappointed this time.

Got the boneless chicken dinner. The breading on the chicken isn’t cooked enough, I’ve had the same problem the last time I ordered from them about a year ago and its small amounts of meat. Food is too salty as well, didn’t even finish the plate. Won’t be returning.

Ordered an appetizer that they were tryna give me AFTER the main dish. Young lady didn’t seem to respectfully understand the concept of an “appetizer “ and kept implying that I just needed to “box it up and take it with me” , assuming I can just eat it when I return to work. Noticed some dirty looks from staff after I said, don’t bring it out at this point and I’m not paying for an “appetizer” that’s being sent out as a desert. I ordered “shrimp” fried rice. With all due integrity, there were literally THREE small shrimps in the rice. Three. Boneless chicken was over battered and kinda salty. Just passing through for a two week training and revisiting some local spots while I’m in town. Won’t return here for any reason.

Today I ordered shrimp fried rice and an appetizer of fried chicken wings(6). The wings were $9.00 and some change. I really wish I had opened up the food and looked at it BEFORE I left the restaurant and got all the way home , as I would have attempted to return the wings IMMEDIATELY!! The wings looked half-cooked, they were so lightly fried you could see through them, and they were greasy as hell with grease just dripping off the wings. Very inedible. I returned to the restaurant about 40 minutes later to tell them about the wings and see if I could get a refund as I was so turned off I no longer wanted them. I’m guessing the Asian lady I spoke to was the owner. When I showed her the wings and told her they were not cooked and inedible, she repeatedly told me that “that the kind of wing we have” and “I cannot give you your money back or nothing” After her telling me this about 4 times, I simply left the wings on their chair and walked out. I will never patronize this business ever again.
