I was dissatisfied with the fried rice as there was no egg in it and the vegetables were a little bit raw and chewy. Also the crab rangoons I got were very chewy and tough to eat. Maybe if the food got here quicker it would have been fresher, it’s like they were sitting out for a while before they got sent out . Just highly disappointed for 26$.

Ordered at 7pm told it would be 17 mins. Called 30 mins later to see if we could pick up the food…they had just given it to the driver. Guess he or she ate it because at 9:30pm the food had still not arrived (even though we live 10 minutes away from the restaurant) and they were closed when we tried to call to find out where it was. Will attempt to get our money back when they open tomorrow and will not be ordering from them again. Would give them zero stars if possible.

Ordered barbecue spare ribs and they arrived cold inside. The replacement was overdone. Bottom line is I don’t think it was fresh. The eggroll was not much better than you get frozen in the grocery store. The other person in my party has sweet and sour chicken and they said it was good. Fried rice was yellow and did not have any veggies. No sign of peas, onions or eggs. It did have small pieces of pork. Service was fast. The waitress was accommodating but I had to ask for a knife and a refill. She did come by towards the end to see if we wanted anything else.

The flavor of the dishes I have always enjoyed has changed. Flavor in the Chicken stock of the wonton soup was lacking The difference in the thickness of the wonton noodle made the dish doughy in some places and then cooked well in others although the filling has definitely a different flavor
Bamboo Creek has always been understaffed but lately it’s been really rough. One person to seat serve clear on a Friday night It’s probably not enough
The server gets all the credit for the enjoyment of this meal she was Amazing fast, efficient multitasking as she went and trying to keep up with all the tables and still be incredibly friendly and helpful that is a definite skill
I hope the new ownership gets a bearing soon so we can enjoy our favorite Chinese restaurant again

I order pick up & is ready when I get there. I can only recommend what we eat …Pepper Steak Onion, Boneless Spareribs, Generals Chicken & Egg rolls are delicious & our favorite place for Chinese food, healthy amounts definitely one meal is enough for two people

The food does really taste like NY Chinese food and prices were decent. I just wish you can get a bigger portion but I guess everyone is cutting back these days.
It’s still pretty good Chinese food and I try to make this my go to spot whenever I got the urge for that msg overload.
There’s a few other places around here that are absolutely horrible and I didn’t even waste the time making a review on them cause I’m sure they will be closed down in a few months anyways.

Good food and fast friendly service. The restaurant was clean and had a nice decor. The portions were of a good size we were able to feed a family of 4 with three entrees and it was very fresh. The freshest egg rolls I’ve had in a long time.

Worst customer service ever. I live 30 mins away and drive here to get food all the time and I Ordered shrimp fried rice and they give me chicken friend rice and I didn’t check it till I got home. Open and its chicken and rice. I called and told them there mess up and they told me that I ordered chicken fried rice when I didn’t. Now they told me I cant eat this rice and bring it back in the next day so I can prove to them its chicken friend rice. This is redicolous. So I cant eat any of the food I ordered and paid for and now I have to wait till the next day to get the food that i actually ordered. I’m never again taking my service here. Worst place ever. I eat here every week. This was the last straw. I’ll go to panda Express!! They do it better anyways.

I live in N St Augustine/S Jax, so I’m kind of in a nowhere land as I have
a St Augustine address but have multiple cow pastures within miles of me.
The nearest restaurant for Chow Ho Fun for me is in Jacksonville and 30 minutes away. Bamboo Creek is 45 minutes away from me. Bamboo was well worth the extra drive because of the better flavor, larger portion size, and lower price!
My only complaint is a touch too oily, otherwise a 5 star for me.
