A friend introduced me to this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The food was well prepared and tasted delicious.
Tried the B11 (if i remember the number correctly), but it was the shrimp(4 pieces) and vegetables and i took chicken teriyaki with white rice. It was before 3pm, so i got the lunch special which was a reasonable portion for under $10.

I never ever right bad reviews, but I feel I should warn people as far as the sushi goes. First it completely falls apart. When you finally get it in your mouth it tastes like cardboard dipped in spicy mayo.

I honestly don’t know how this grease spoon has so many positive reviews because every time I’ve ordered from this place it’s been a total nightmare. First of all, the food is not fresh and everything is soaked in this nasty oil that I can’t figure out what it is for the life of me. I ordered shrimp lo mien from them and got 2 whole shrimp in the entire dish with a few limp overcooked greens to give it “color” I’m assuming. Horrible. I then made the mistake of trying them again and ordered veggie curry. They couldn’t understand that I didn’t want any meat in it and insisted on tofu but all I wanted was some veggies in curry sauce, easy right? Not for these folks. What I received was a bowl of steamed veggies swimming in the most artificial oil I have ever had meet my lips. My boyfriend who eats everything could only take one bite and he said “trash it” I called and very politely told them about my oily dish and the woman ARGUED with me! I finally had to say, “I don’t want to argue, I just want to tell you that I ordered a dish that I was hoping to enjoy and didn’t.” She then went on to say that if I return the entire portion she will CONSULT with her boss to see if I am applicable for a $10 refund. GASP! Is this really how this place runs their business???? Believe me, there are PLENTY of other places in Norwood to order delicious food that is 10000 times better, less expensive and WITHOUT the conceded attitude!!!

I have ordered sushi from this establishment via delivery several times now. The food is always fresh, delicious, order is correct and delivery is prompt. Honestly, some of the best sushi rolls I have ever tasted as well! Highly recommend.

Their serving size for lunch is the smallest size I have ever seen. Fried rice tastes different compared to many other Chinese restaurants I have eaten, but it tastes somewhat good. General gao chicken is also different, but tastes the best.

I’ve been living in Norwood now for 2 years, and this has been my main spot for Chinese. There is at least 4 Chinese places in the Washington Street area, and this one for a long time was the best. A few months back I noticed a change in the staff, the friendly staff that always greeted you at the counter weren’t there. Not only were they gone, but the food took a hit as a result. I don’t know the politics of the restaurant, but it appears a massive house cleaning happened, only not in a good way. The fried Dumplings are great, but anytime I order anything with chicken the past 4 times it’s tasted like rubber. The veggies don’t seem as fresh anymore. It’s a shame, I really liked this place, but if this is the way they’re going to cook, I’m eating elsewhere

I had lunch at the Bamboo, and it was delicious. I had the egg drop soup, spring roll, vegetable fried rice with fried tofu, and green beans with shrimp and onions. The food was so fresh and made exactly to my specifications. I learned that it is a family owned business, and new comers are more than welcome. I grew up in Taiwan and the food was authentic in flavor. The regulars at the bar were hospitable and welcoming as well. The ambiance, the food, and service were top notch. I definitely will return to try another dish of two. This restaurant reminds me of a restaurant named “Bull and Finch,” which I waitressed weekends at. The regulars came all the time sharing their lives at their favorite spot. A television series, “Cheers”, was created because of this place. Bamboo is an Asian Bull and Finch. Come on down and enjoy.
