This little mom and pop owned bar and grill hit the map when it was named Best Burger in Iowa 2021. They are still a bit shocked by the sudden surge of customers, but our little group beat the lunch rush by arriving just after 11am, and it filled quickly after that! I can say that it did rank in the top with my friends and I for Best Burgers and fries! Hand pattied, lightly seasoned, juicy 1/3 pound burger (you pick the toppings) for $5. If you want fries or sweet potato fries, they are $4, and if you want coleslaw or a salad, those are $3 (bowl is big enough to share). We will definitely return with more friends for another great burger one day!
Also, very clean restrooms, and friendly service.

The bambino burger was great! The cheese curds were also great. We were there in the late afternoon (3 o’clock ish). Some old boys were shooting pool, the atmosphere was straight northeast Iowa like you would expect. It was definitely worth the 1 hour 20 min drive.

Voted the best burger in Iowa a few years ago, but it’s nothing special. Can make just as good of a burger at home if not better. We’ve eaten here 3 times, and after listening to the owner complain about having to cook for us and how she’d been on her feet all day long EVERY time we’ve visited, we won’t be back. The last time we were there, she was changing the light-up sign on the wall. I know she heard us come in, but it took one of the customers at the bar telling her we were there for her to finally come wait on us. I don’t appreciate being made to feel guilty for choosing to do business with someone, and shouldn’t have even given this place more business after the first time we went. Close the kitchen if you don’t want to cook.

Good burgers, nothing fancy. The fries were really good, hot, golden and a nice crunch but still soft on the inside. Prices were reasonable.
The young lady that took our orders was super!! Very friendly and sweet with the 2 younger kids in our group.
The only down side is the menu choices are very limited. Not sure if it’s just a weekend thing but you are only able to get their “Bino” burgers and sides on Friday nights.
The restrooms were clean and had soap!
The little girls thought the poster in there was quite something…..lol!
You can find the weekend menu online!!

It certainly deserves best burger in Iowa award. Met the couple who have owned it for 30+ years. If you go on Saturday, arrive later like 2 pm and not at lunch. They are super busy then. Closed Sundays. Th-Sat you can only order burger cause they’re too busy to offer their full menu.

2021 number one burger in Iowa. I was impressed. This is not some fancy burger. This is a standard burger with your choice of standard fixings. It’s just done perfectly. The size is not too big and not too small (just right). It’s cooked to the best flavor and topped as you like it (tomatoes, pickles, onions, and lettuce… all very fresh). Since winning the status of Best Burger in Iowa, on weekends they only server the burger with your choice of several sides. (potato salad is excellent). If you every in this area of iowa you will have to stop and enjoy one of these excellent burgers and then you can say that you have tasted the best burger in Iowa. Enjoy

I agree with former reviews. There burgers are like mine at home .. good meat and tasty veggies. Super friendly place. They are on a side street just one store from the main street .. just so you don’t miss it. Really like eating at Moms.
