The only surprise to that is the amount of the portions you get for that pricey dish dats definitely not worth the cost.
Now that I’ve gotten the sub par part outta da way let’s get to my dinning experience.
Da wait…
This is a rather small establishment. There is a square foot or two of space for you to wait inside to be seated.. And less than dat if you wait for a spot @ da bar. I’ll tell you more about da bar wait spot later.
So my wait was spent outside in my vehicle. I had Hennessy and Budweiser in the cooler I keep in my car. For a 45 minute to an hour wait there was no need for me to indulge in their pricey alcoholic beverages. Not to mention they don’t carry da King Of Beers. BUDWEISER! My wait tyme was very well spent. It saved me about $30. Now that the wait is over.
The greeter: She was cordial and happy in her doings. She informed us that there was an additional 5 to 10 minute wait for whatever reason.
Our booth. A nice plush velvet booth in front of the bar. Being seated in the very 1st booth near da bar proved to be costly. Not knowing the wait line for the bar is on the corner of our booth. There would be people in our dining space waiting to be seated @ da bar. It was krazy because one female was literally standing with her rear end on our table as we ate. Then she looked as if to say: Excuse me. But, that never came. For this, Is the reason; why ATMOSPHERE didn’t get 5⭐’s.
Food: The food was tastefully delicious. I ordered the Rockefeller Oysters listed @ $18. They were flavorful with a krispy twist to them. Would have been gr8 to get 6 for dat price along with dat pan seared half of a limon. Even the lemon was good. The seasoned fries came in a metal tea cup. Minus the seasoning. The shoe string fries were fried Krispy just like I like em! I did add a Heineken on da side for $8 a bottle. My fiance ordered pasta with salmon and a salad. With a margarita on da side. She marveled @ the tasteful delight of the pasta. Full of flavor. Her salad was bland. Too much lettuce without paying extra for add ons. She asked for NO TOMATOES. Needless to say there were plenty of matoes on her salad. She had to ask for cheese and an extra cup of salad dressing. In her words: add more kale and a few more toppings then inflate da cost.
Our server: Jada.
Jada made our experience even more enjoyable. She was vibrant and very helpful with her knowledge of da dishes we ordered. We received our order in a timely fashion. 18% gratuity is charged to ALL orders $100 or more prior to a 4 way tab split to my understanding. This is by far my longest review of a gr8 eatery. Get there early or make reservations. Be safe and enjoy the fancy decor of lavish bathrooms while looking yourself in da mirror after a gr8 meal. I’m definitely looking forward to the expansion or move into a larger building.
We were seated right away, and our waitress, Jada, greeted us with water and the warmest smile. She was so pleasant and even recommended some of her favorite dishes. Honestly though, the moment I saw the menu, everything looked top tier — it was hard to choose!
I ended up ordering the Cajun Pasta Alfredo with broiled salmon, yams, salmon sliders, and the sweet potato corn muffin (we even ordered a second round of those muffins — they were THAT good). My sisters enjoyed the seafood bucket, turkey wings with rice, and the kale & turkey side. Every single bite was hot, fresh, and seasoned to absolute perfection — the cooks did NOT miss! If I could give the food a 10,000/10, I would.
The atmosphere made it even better — great vibes, live R&B music (it was R&B Wednesday!), and just an all-around welcoming energy. Jada even shared a few partner restaurants we should check out, which was such a nice touch.
This was hands down the highlight of my week. I’m already planning my next visit… and the one after that!
Top tier service and I’m looking forward to coming back to dine when I have a free day.
Thank you Aniyah for a great start to my otherwise work-filled Valentine’s Day. You left quite the impression.
