The coffee here is great and it’s nice getting something local! The coffee beans from here taste good and are very fragrant. We buy bags of beans here and get cups of coffee when we stop in. They also have lots of little sweets you can buy or miscellaneous items. They even have gluten free snacks which is nice and they are locally made as well!

Experience: 5/5 – the employee who took our order was friendly, fun and patient. The food & drinks were made fast. It’s a cute little shop that is clean with fun little things to look at.
Espresso: 2/5 – I saw many reviews on here that talked about the espresso being burnt/tasting a bit like rubber. Because all of the other reviews are mostly great, I ignored it. The sweetness of the lattes were phenomenal and the drinks were very well crafted – however, the espresso really was bad and had that burnt, rubbery taste. It tasted like a car shop smells..so odd. Next time I will just stick to the coffee
Sandwiches: 4.5/5 – I got a BEC on Asiago bagel and it was good! Definitely a bit generic tasting but overall good and very reasonably priced. My dad got the Clipper which was a roast beef and said it was one of his favorite sandwiches he’s eaten in a long time! The food was simple but quick and good.

All in all, this place is a cool little spot. I definitely would not recommend the espresso drinks – but would be more than happy to return to try just coffee and more of the sandwiches!

The atmosphere and service was pretty good! However, I had an interesting coffee experience to say the least. I ordered the iced creme brulee latte, and for some reason it tasted like beef jerky? I gave it to my boyfriend to try. Typically, he doesn’t agree with my flavor assessments when it comes to food/drink; however, he was in full agreement with the beef jerky comparison. The coffee ended up tasting better when it was watered down by the ice. The banana muffin was yummy though!

This cozy Baltimore Coffee shop is the place to go for me and my coworkers. Folks love the coffee and the sandwiches. I always pick up a local treat or trinket to gift my friends. Unfortunately there’s nothing vegan for me to eat but their coffee keeps me fueled.

While the coffee and drinks remain tasty, the quality of the sandwiches has really gone downhill over the past few years.

There have been multiple times we’ve given this location another chance, but there’s always something wrong with the sandwich – even when they don’t include enough ingredients.

Today I got the Ft. McHenry but was greeted by two small slices of turkey and a bunch of crusty brie that was almost inedible. It was supposed to have whole grain mustard and mayonnaise as well, but the sandwich was dry and didn’t even have a full piece of bacon. The bacon itself was wilted and tasted like dollar-store quality.

We also got a St. Michaels, which should have had avocado, yet there was none. This has happened multiple times in the past.

While I’ll still go on occasion to pick up coffee, I won’t seek out Baltimore Coffee and Tea as I used to until the food improves.

$12 plus tip is already expensive for one sandwich, and I would expect something that tastes much better than Subway or Panera.

it’s good! love the drinks and the selection of tea bags. My only criticism is there aren’t very many places to chill after ordering — no where to stand that doesn’t make u seem like you’re waiting in line. And there aren’t many seating options

Great variety of coffee and tea. Been visiting Baltimore Coffee for 15+ years and never been disappointed. Enough variety to try a different roast/flavor every visit. Amaretto Royal is still my all time favorite, definitely recommend trying. Price for a pound of coffee in 2023 is around $18 so a bit higher than other local roasters but the overall experience makes it worth it. Great cafe and roaster!

Wanted to have a light bite and coffre when we found this place. When you walk in the smell of the coffee is intoxicating. The place has a warm , homey vibe. We took a long time to make our decision but the staff was patient and kind. I had the vegetable panini , my hubby had a bagel with veggie cream cheese. The panini was excellent- it could convince this meat eater to go vegetarian . The coffee drinks were very good.

Edit – Owner response is comically misaligned. Never offered replacement coffee, lending a grinder, grinding the 3 bags I still have….. BROKEN COFFEE GRINDER, ROCKS IN COFFEE, no replacement. Owner STAN CONSTANTINE made zero attempt to apologize for this and make it right. I have ordered an average of one bag a month from here for 7 years. Its sad thats not enough lotalty for Stan Constantine. The owner called me out on 2 years of not buying coffee from him, like a BABY. I am writing this review because there was a stone in one of my coffee bags. Not a big deal if it didn’t break my coffee grinder…. $140 coffee grinder completely useless by a rock that came out of an Ethiopian Sidamo bag from Baltimore Coffee and Tea. I went back and forth with THE OWNER of the company, Stan Constantine via email
He made it clear after 5 emails back and forth he was not interested at all in what happened. This was after sending 3 emails and being told my issue was sent “to spam” (I was told by staff directly to email a specific address, and then used the generic one from the website). I guess their website customer service email is just a spam folder… anyway… The only solution in Stan’s mind was for me to drive him the broken coffee grinder (or pay shipping myself), have them see if it is broken, order a replacement part, fix it, and send it back to me, or order a new one for me if they couldn’t fix it. I even asked if he could prepay the shipping as an act of good faith that he even wanted to resolve this issue. He decline to respond. Offering no timeline for this process, and offering nothing else for the inconvenience. I know 7 years isn’t that long, but I will not be buying from here again.

Remains a unique and powerful coffee and lunch staple in the area. Coffee/espresso drinks are great, sandwiches are homemade and tasty, and muffins are among the best I’ve ever had! Employees are all friendly and helpful!
