First time at Bukgara Grill. It’s Summerlicious 2025 season. This restaurant is down stairs, well lit, and airy. Service is quick, staff are friendly and kind, prices and portions are reasonable. Our dishes were delishious and will be back to try their regular menu.

What a find! This Indian restaurant, tucked away downstairs, is absolutely fantastic. Their butter chicken and chicken biryani are both incredibly flavorful with wonderfully tender, juicy meat. I’m so glad I didn’t miss this spot! The beautiful cultural decor and friendly staff truly complete the experience.

Came here for summerlicious! I was able to order the dinner option during lunch (dinner price).

Chicken pakoras – reminded me of chicken fingers but very well seasoned and flavorful!

Lamb Madras – they made it spicy and gave me some extra sauce! The lamb was very soft and though it was a touch salty, it paired well with the sides!

Naan – some pieces were soft but 2 were thin, crispy on the bottom, and soft on the inside! I loved the naan!

Rice – lots!

Rice pudding – they make it in house. It was less sweet compared to the rest of the desserts but very well balanced and just right!

They also have lunch specials which is worth checking out!

We ordered biryani paneer. Its full if rice. And litterly 5 pieces of paneer. Waste or money and this is the only way they scam clients to make there money. You cant just load a dish with so much rice to make people full and little protein

Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in my life! The garlic naan was absolutely amazing. Also, give the Indian beer a try. Pairs well with the food! Excellent service too!

We came here with no plans since we’re in the area and trying to find a place for lunch. The location is underground and seems a bit sketchy at first since no one was there and it felt as if it was closed. The server was in the kitchen when we came in, so no one was there to welcome us for a good 5 mins so we decided to come in and find them.

We ordered the chicken tikka masala and Kadhai Beef and both were really good! They served us complimentary appetizers, like chips tortilla with some dips. The garlic butter naan was really flavourful and crunchy. The beef was sooo tender and overall the food was amazing! Will come back if I’m around the area 🙂

We were in the area and this place had been on our list for a while so we thought of giving it a try, and ended up having a good meal at Bukhara grill on a summer Sunday afternoon. The place was not busy, so we got a nice table with white tablecloths and good cutlery. The restaurant was well air-conditioned and had light instrumental music playing in the background. I recognized some of KK’s songs and felt nostalgic.

The service was excellent, even though there was only one server. He was friendly and quick, and gave us good recommendations. We ordered the summerlicious menus, which had a lot of variety and value.

The food was delicious and satisfying. We started with aloo tikki and chicken pakora, which were simple and crunchy respectively. The main courses were madras lamb and paneer makhani, both of which had great gravy and flavor. The lamb was well cooked and tender, and the paneer was slightly sweet but very palatable. The naan was soft and nice to eat with the curries.

For dessert, we had rasamalai and mango ice cream. The rasamalai was yum, and the mango ice cream was more like kulfi and worth trying. It was a perfect way to end our meal.

We loved the experience and will definitely come again. The only minor drawback was that the place is in a basement, so the entry seemed slightly confusing and there was no natural lighting. But once we got inside, it was relaxing and cozy. The walls had pretty photos and a nice decor that added to the ambiance.

Bukhara grill is a good place in Bloor West that serves authentic and tasty Indian food. I recommend for a pleasant dining experience.

First time to this restaurant but we were not impressed by the food or the atmosphere. Restaurant is in the basement and dining area is too dark. Food was okay but not as good as other Indian /Pakistani restaurants that we have been too, including the naans. I hate to say this but we will not come back.

We went to Bukhara Grill in Oct 2022 on a weekday. A Monday to be specific, during Diwali.

We were greeted with friendly service in a clean and intimate setting.

The food was fresh, flavorful, spicy, and tasted amazing. We had the Beef Madras, Chicken Tikka Masala, and the absolutely delightful “Goat Masaleder” with the bones in (goat meat cooked with tomato and onion gravy). Actually, authentic tasting Indian food.

We had 4 dishes for the two of us and took home leftovers. The leftovers tasted even better 10 hours later!

Oh, and you won’t spend a fortune eating the upscale food here either, unlike in downtown Toronto — where you’ll have mediocre, inauthentic Indian food at marked up prices.
