Love this bar. Great people, completely free poker with real cash prizes Fri Sat Sun Wen, karaoke on Fri Sat. Friday is a blast with pokeroke. Darts, pool tables and shuffleboard. Best bar in Arvada!

We started coming to this bar to serve our food/bbq because they don’t have food. What they do have is a nice selection of drinks, pool table, shuffle board, Darts, Poker League nights, Karaoke nights, wonderful long time staffing and ownership. It’s a nice place to either be peaceful at times or very social at other times! Great neighborhood spot!

This place is the worst bar in Arvada. The owner daddy Russ thinks he’s a mob boss. He brought 25 to 30 guys to the parking lot because my girlfriend and I had argument in the parking lot. He just happen to walk out and told my girl who is a bartender there that we don’t need the police and then proceeded back into the bar and came out with the whole bar and threaten me to get out of my girls car. I told him no way you guys have my truck and car surrounded. He told his crew to backup so I had a path to my truck. I then was able to get in my truck and leave from there. Only because he called his people off me. I couldn’t believe the influence he had on these people. This place is always dead as can be now I understand why. I would not waste your time going there . Not only is it not safe but the place is dirty and always hot in there as the ac stem doesn’t work.

Moved to the area bout a year ago & Stopped in It was very dead But I was greeted
Very nicely by a young bartender, I didn’t think that I would come back in (I wondered why she wanted to work at a place that was dead- She seemed extremely loyal to the owners & the others that worked there) so after having a very pleasant visit with her & feeling very welcomed by her – I decided to come back.. Each time I did she was very happy to see me again with a very pleasant smile & great personality! I have came in recently and asked the two others where she was- both times acted like I insulted them by asking- thought that was odd- She was the best bartender in there And seems so extremely loyal to everyone.
the whole vibe of the place seems to have changed- seems everyone that sits at the end of the bar gossip about everyone the owner allows his wife to do the same.
Unfortunate to see a bar lose a wonderful bartender, And I have heard several patron’s because of that as well. If.
She went to another establishment I really hope to find out where.

I like friendly environments and this is absolutely one… I stopped in here just cuz they were in the area and I absoluely fell in love with this place. It’s now my normal go to regardless there 4 other bars on my way here. Sharon Rose and Melissa are always top notch. Friendly and welcoming. I read a lot of the complaints and saw people complaining about speed. REMEMBER, even toilets can service one person at a time. If your reading this and your thinking about giving this Lil bar a shot, stop in. You won’t regret it!!!!!

This is a bar that is empty 3-4 days of the week because the bartenders are tenured by an owner who isn’t around and they only cater to the regulars because that is what this bar is.
I’ve been to Balloon Inn about 10-15 times in the past 1.5 years and it’s hit and miss. The nights when they have poker and/or karaoke can form a decent crowd.
I will say I’ve had one of those local bar hometown feel good moments with Rose, a bartender here, and to me, she was a gem.
I went in and there were 2 people in the bar, one of whom fell asleep there during my visit as Melanie (or Melane?) was watching Found on the TV.
Anyways, I’m sure some regulars love her, but even though I’m walking distance, due to a bad experience with her, I’m no longer a patron here.

My mother and grandmother told me they were coming here before I was born. Came with both of them for nostalgia reasons and for a funeral in the neighborhood. Very tight knit bar obviously because if you aren’t a regular you get ignored for 5 minutes while the “bartender” ignores a new face with money. The bar tender served my mother who asked for a Vegas bomb with vodka, peach schnapps (right so far) and cranberry juice!! Obviously the drink was refused. After that we were treated like crap the rest of the time.
