Also tried a Honduran specialty catrachitas with sweet tea. Very good. Bought a banana soda to take home.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this local Central American restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The authenticity of the food and the warmth of the atmosphere truly stood out.
The dishes were beautifully presented and full of vibrant flavors. The pupusas were perfectly cooked — soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside, packed with delicious fillings. The taco was fresh and flavorful, topped with bright pico de gallo, and the plantains were perfectly caramelized, offering just the right amount of sweetness to balance the savory items.
One of my favorites was the house sampler plate, which included a bit of everything: crisp yucca fries, golden empanadas, taquitos, and dipping sauces that complemented every bite. The presentation was excellent, and everything tasted freshly prepared.
I also enjoyed the curtido (pickled cabbage slaw) and red sauce served with the pupusas — both traditional and bursting with flavor, just as you’d expect from an authentic Salvadoran or Central American kitchen.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that made the experience even better.
If you’re looking for genuine Central American cuisine made with care and passion, this spot is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!
born and raised here, but my mom was honduran (she passed away when I was 19, I’m 35 now, but I grew up with her delicious cooking) This is as authentic as it gets you guys and it’s absolutely amazing!
The Honduran Tamales are exactly how they should be made and taste exactly how I remember.
It’s a super cute place inside, and they have a drive thru window as well. I’ve been coming here the past 5 years and they never fail to give me the best plates and horchata. 10/10
They only give you two small tacos for $14!!!!
Never in my life at any Honduran restaurant have I paid that much for two barely filled tacos !
You can go anywhere else and they will give you 3 for $12 , definitely not giving them my money again !
The atmosphere was great and I thought it was pretty neat how they played Christian merengue music, which most English-speaking guests might not catch on to, so it gave me a little heartwarming chuckle. All the tables had an inlay of Honduran soccer scarves with actual Honduran cash bills, and the artwork on the wall was really cool too. This is also the kind of place you can walk in by yourself and chat with the other guests. I’m in town for two weeks, and I will most likely not be going to too many other places for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner this place is so damn good.
Lastly, shout out to my server, Savy (sp?). He is super welcoming and friendly. His kindness and service definitely elevated the quality of my visit. Thank you so much!
