The owners/staff were very friendly and nice, the options on the menu were nicely varied, portions were reasonable, and the tastes were good. I’m not a huge Mofongo fan, but the one that my wife had was possibly my favorite that I’ve had!
Also, the tables – and the restaurant, in general – were clean and orderly, which is a pretty big one for us.
The restaurant closed an hour earlier than Google Maps said that it would, so we felt bad about being there late. The owners said they’ve been trying to get that changed and, for some reason, it keeps reverting back to the old numbers…so they’re working on that one.
All in all, a nice experience and we’ll certainly be back!
I ordered empanadas and got three different flavors. The chicken, pizza, and cheese. I asked the waitress for some sort of sauce and she recommended the creamy cilantro. I really enjoyed the pizza empanada especially with the creamy cilantro sauce. I enjoyed the pizza empanada, the chicken not so much.
Everyone was impressed with the amount of food they got and they enjoyed their meals.
Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and attentive.

Excellent food and friendly, kind service. We ordered the empanadas, lechon (pork dish) and ropa vieja (beef dish) – both were extremely tender and tasty. The portions were very big! The rice was perfectly done.
I had a very good mojito and my husband got a cortadito (coffee), very tasty, but could have been hotter temperature… I’m being very picky here…
The empanadas were supposed to be 3 different ones, but they accidentally gave us all three of them beef. We received a genuine apology, and we joked around that that’s good marketing to get us to come back and try the other empanadas. Great experience. Very clean restaurant worth trying.

The restaurant was not busy.
We were the only table.
We were ready to order and had to wait for the wait person took a phone order.
The wait person seemed very disorganized.
When we did order, I did not time how long it took but, it took a long time to get water and a tea.
The food also took a long time to come out and when it did only my wife’s came out.
I had to wait for my burrito to come out several minutes later.
My burrito was good, my wife said her meat was dry.
During our meal we had to listen to a very loud grinding noise.
I had to get up and go to the bar to get our bill.
As I paid I asked what is that noise?
Our wait person said I can shut that off.
It was nice and quiet after that but, we were on our way out the door.
Overall, this was not the same experience we had on our first visit.

We walked and and noticed several things; seat yourself, not busy, clean, well lit, and warm.
We were greeted by the owner as we walked in.
The owner is also our waiter.
The drinks in the menu are listed as fountain drinks.
I do not know if the means Coke or Pepsi, or something else.
I saw a beef burrito on the menu, I asked if they could make a chicken burrito.
I got my chicken burrito and it was awesome.
I have no problem giving this restaurant my recommendation!
They are willing to guide you through the menu and meal. If you don’t know Latin Cuisine, they will take you through the meal, giving you a genuinely enjoyable dish for your taste. What is nice is how rich the pictures are here so you can select and learn the names.
You may want to plan a to-go box from the start and save room for dessert. The bakery looks from scratch and one-of-a-kind.
I wasn’t a fan of the desserts we had but the plate I ordered was delicious and the appetizers were good!
Also I was sad to hear that they don’t have Malta anymore or red beans 🙁
