Came here for the high reviews.
Coming from the Bay Area, I don’t have a high standard when it comes to tacos since we don’t have a lot of choices, not like if you’re from around LA. So I ordered some tacos based on J C’s review and boy I was not impressed at all. I have had better mouth watering tacos in the Bay Area.
One thing I have observed though is that whoever is not your server, they will likely ignore you or be less attentive.
So far the whole experience wasn’t disappointing and the chips and guac was pretty good.
The restroom was also clean and tidy which is not always the case in all restaurants.

I’m from LA so I love good Mexican food but was definitely skeptical this place. I wanted a hot dinner after a day on the slopes so I took the chance and am glad I did! They had handmade tortillas and the best grilled skirt steak for the carne asada. Friendly and quick service too!!

I had missed the opportunity to eat here in the past so this spot was a goal for this visit to June Lake Loop. I was craving chicken enchiladas, so I walked on over to place my order. I was informed that they do not serve chicken enchiladas. I decided on the carne asada and is what I ordered. The server suggested chili relleno. I thanked her and said I’d stay with the carne asada. The food was prepared quicky and I was on my way back to the hotel to eat. When I opened the container, I did not see carne asada. I saw chili relleno. I am not exactly sure as to why this happened as I was very clear about my order. I already had a long day and was not in the mood to walk back. The chili relleno turned out to be amazing. The fresh tortillas along with the sauce made this a pretty impressive meal. The beans have good flavor and the rice was fresh. It may not have been what I ordered but ended up being an enjoyable surprise. Thank you!

Gordon Ramsay would have nothing to say. SoCal Mexican snob here and those handmade tortillas kicked the pants off even the ones from Northgate Market. The carne asada was unreal. And it was a dry rub! Not even a marinade omfg. The guac, the pico, the refried beans, the sautéed onions that came with my plate. I eat in Santa Ana, Costa Mesa and never find Mexican as good as this. Actually it was better than the Mexican in Mexico and I ate in 5 star restaurants in Vallarta and Mexico City. Hot damn.

Did live up to the hype! The staff were friendly and efficient. The chips were fresh, and the salsa was perfectly spiced, tortillas were delicious and flavorful. The grilled chicken taco was light and lovely. We split the salad which was a generous portion, simple, but with nice fresh vegetables, and definitely recommend the cilantro lime dressing, which was outstanding. Great lunch stop!

The couple that runs this place are super friendly, the restaurant has a homey, small town feel. The food is outstanding, clearly homemade, and not expensive. I had the Asada tacos and they were delicious. I really appreciated the homemade refried beans. Also the complimentary salsa and chips were fire!!

William is probably the hardest working server/bartender I’ve ever seen. Handled the whole front end of the restaurant by himself and made time to make conversation with everyone. Our food was great and came out pretty quick and my wife’s margarita was stroooong! I wish we didn’t live so far away, we’d come more often.

My wife said her taquitos were OK. I ha a carnitas burrito and it was a mushy mess. Way too high priced for the quality of food. Would not return.
