We had the Mysore Dosa, Mirchi Bajji, Veg Pakora, Dahi Wada and Boondi Laddu. The food was delicious and tasted home cooked. The cafeteria is attached to the temple, on a lower level. We went on a weekend afternoon around 3 so there was hardly any wait for the food and lots of seating available.

Authentic South Indian Delights at an Unbeatable Price!”

Balaji Temple Cafe is a hidden gem for South Indian food lovers! Their dosa, idly, and vada are simply outstanding—crispy dosa, soft idlis, and perfectly fried vadas, all served with flavorful chutneys and delicious sambar. The quality is top-notch, yet the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a fantastic value for money. If you’re craving authentic and satisfying South Indian cuisine, this place is a must-visit!

This cafe serves all fresh South Indian delicacies. Dosa is great. On Sunday you get some special items also. And it’s quite crowded. Long lines of devotees for food. Good portions are served for many snacks items. Tea and coffee are plenty to drink. Sambar is always hot and 2 type of chutneys available. A must visit for every devotee to experience good food.

This is a review of the canteen (cafeteria) inside Balaji temple.

after Darshan, I guess one must visit the cafeteria, I loved their tamarind rice & Pongal. you can find many options on the menu and I guess prices – that’s shocking, none of the items are above $5 and I don’t know how they are managing it ( I guess it’s a non-profit cafe). in this inflation time, how one can sustain providing quality food under $5?

We ordered Pongal, tamarind rice, Bisibelbath, samosa, Lassi, Mysore masala dosa. Loved their Pongal, simple yet great taste.

there is an option for to-go as well.
Same old system: Order at the counter (there are 2 counters), get a token number, go to the food counter, give the coupon, and collect your food. ample seating arrangement.

On Weekends- the cafeteria gets full and there could be waiting for ordering, and collect your food.

Coat checking, water, and bathroom facility are there.

One of the best hindu south Indian temple in Bridgwater NJ. Highly recommend to visit with family and friends and specially with kids. They have enough space for parking . This temple is very popular for south Indian food restaurant in side of temple. You can enjoy food outside curbside too. They offer puja and also new car puja ceremony. Very spiritual place. They have small shop to purchase all religions pooja iteams. Must visit in week days to avoid wait time.

It was my first time visiting the temple and I am so blessed to be here. It took me to tirupati balaji in Tamil Nadu. The food is little spicy but over all me and my family loved it. I wish we have same temple in Toronto.

Good place. Seats are comfortable. Wait time is too much. First, you have to stand in long line to order. Then stand in line to give your receipt to the counter. If you have ordered vada, idli then you will get it right away. Else you have to wait again. Tea was supposed to be good but now it doesn’t taste that good. Overall taste is good. Dosa is not that authentic or awesome. Vada is good.

For the price it’s decent enough I suppose, get what you pay for, clean enough environment and service and wait time is good. Although, sambar and poppyseed mix was rather flavorless and watered down for me. Dosa was rather dry and not fluffy at all. Bit of a letdown.
