Woman owned scratch bakery. Specializing in bagels, cheesecakes, cake pops, cupcakes, and cinnamon rolls. We grow our own herbs, we waste nothing as all our scraps go to local farms. We strive to incorporate local produce and honey. We will have an ever changing menu to keep a wide variety of treats to please everyone.

This place is not just a Bakery. Its a Bakery with a purpose!
Do you see all of those little bird houses in the photos? Well each customer that donates any monetary amount, will recieve a plain birdhouse to take home and decorate any way you want and then return it and they will hang it on the tree you see in the photos which will continue to expand. 100% of the donations each month will go to a different Cancer Association.
While you are there enjoying one or many of the diverse items they make in house, from quiche, to cream puffs, bagels and sandwiches, cakes and pies, cookies and caramel apples, grab a board game and enjoy your visit looking at the many creatively designed birdhouses the customers have decorated and returned to display. There is a short video of my favorite birdhouse attached.
You can sit in one of the swings! Check out their gift selections, chit chat with staff who are all very welcoming! This is a very cozy place, great treats! I ordered the Denver Quiche, soooo good! Moist, fluffy, full of flavor! I wanted to try one of everything, it all looked so good, it was hard to choose.
As customers came in, everyone knew everyone, everyone was happy, great sense of community! I absolutely loved that! You do not feel like you are at a business, you feel like you are visiting friends because that is the vibe there.

My mom put me on to this small bakery in Union Grove and I am absolutely obsessed with their salted caramel bars. I get at least two every time I go. This last time I got three cake pops, an Oreo cake cup, a slice of cheesecake and two salted caramel bars. My daughter demolished the cake pops, so needless to say they were great. The cake cup was so good. It took me three days to eat all of it! I would take a bite and it would be full of chocolate cake and a Oreo-like frosting layer. Decadent and delicious.
The salted caramel bars are the star of the show for me. Gooey salted caramel on top of a chewy shortbread (I think, it’s just mouthwatering), with globs of it on top. It’s my favorite thing right now.
The shop itself is small with cute decorations. The ladies at the front are always so nice. Love this cute place. She also posts what she has for the day on Facebook!

I have been going to Baking Bird since they first opened. I order desserts all year around for family events, holidays and for myself. I love the hometown vibe of the place, employees are down to earth and so very friendly. I have tried almost everything Bird has made and everything is delcious! She has nothing but love for baking and you taste it in everything she makes! Love that everything is fresh and she uses good quality ingredients! This little bakery is a gem in Union Grove!

I am a marketing rep for a small company and have had The Baking Bird prepare everything from cookies, cake pops, muffins and their delicious bars for client offices I visit daily. Most recently they helped me by preparing boxes of cake pops I dropped off at offices for our Breast Cancer Awareness campaign. Not only were the cake pops absolutely delicious, but they were beautiful (decorated in pink) and prepared in a cute box that was easy for me to deliver to the various offices I went to. Almost always when I drop goodies off to clients I will get a call asking me where I got them because their bakery items are THAT good!! The Baking Bird makes my job so easy – everything is ready at the day / time I ask for them and the service is amazing even helping me carry out to my car. They make my job so easy and fun! I highly recommend!

I ordered several items from cake pops to cupcakes to bars and cookies to show my appreciation for the nursing staff at Aurora Medical Center. Bird was absolutely fantastic to work with! From design to final delivery, this was the best experience. She guided me through the process and helped me make great choices. The staff at Aurora loved the treats! Country Rose is just up the road for half the price and double the quality. This establishment leaves their “treats” in the case long before you get to it. They must not have the capacity to make it fresh or business. Don’t waste your time. Unfortunately small businesses like this simply rely on the “support your local business” loyalty from people in the town. Next time I’ll take the drive for some quality instead. Oh well.

I ordered quiches and breakfast handheld sandwiches for breakfast the day-of our recent wedding. Bird was great with this bigger order. The quiche were the most delicious I have ever had. They have a lightness like a souffle and the flavors were delicious. She could even accomodate GF. The Sausage Gravy Egg hand pies were out of this world. I stop in for baked goods too. All the bars are terrific, especially the Salted Carmel bars and Raspberry Almond bars. We are so lucky to have this quality and variety of bakery in Union Grove
