At Bakey, the spirit of love flavors everything we do. Born out of the founders’ passion for bread, sweet and savory pastries, and the desire to celebrate them at their very best, we invite you to taste our buttery babkas, our toasty burekas, and beautifully braided challahs, served alongside flavorful coffees. We are Kosher certified and available for dine-in, carry out, and catering at our locations in the greater Boston area.

Bakey is always a treat. Their pastries are fresh and delicious, and the seasonal gingerbread latte is amazing — warm, flavorful, and perfect on a cold day. A cozy spot with great vibes. Highly recommended! ☕ ✨

I have mixed feelings about this place. On the one hand, the babkas are absolutely delicious—definitely come here for those. However, the bagel was honestly horrendous.
The sad part is that it looks great and smells delicious, but the texture is completely wrong; it’s basically just a round brioche bun, not a real bagel. To make matters worse, the cream cheese isn’t generous at all—it’s just a slab thrown in the middle that leaves the rest of the bread dry. Do yourself a favor and stay with the pastries.

Don’t get me wrong.I’m sure this place has many good options, but my first time going here, I purchased a cheese croissant and I was sick for 24 hrs. I have no idea what was in it. It tasted a little funny but it wasn’t bad.So I just ate the whole thing after I toasted it at home. I’m just telling you my experience for the first time going here. I want come here ever again due to that reason.

Ordered the first one got the second and they did nothing fix the problem. For the prices they charge i wasnt happy. The girl wasnt willing to fix it. They were also out of all seasonal syrups for coffee. My first time here and wont come back between the service and lack of stuff

We recently met one of the owners of Bakey on a plane ride. He was very friendly, and happily switched seats with my wife so she could be on the aisle. I finally had the chance to pick up a coffee and babka and was not disappointed. Everything looked fresh and delicious, the space was bright, clean and attractive, and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The hardest part was deciding what not to buy.

Iohana made our visit so pleasant! She was incredibly friendly and patient while we decided on our treats. It’s always a good experience here, but Iohana really added to it with her bright demeanor. Highly recommend stopping by.

Ordered a piece of the banana Babka for a surprise for my husband’s birthday. He loves banana and babka, so what could go wrong? The piece of babka I got for almost $7 was EMBARASSINGLY small. When I saw the bag (I prepaid and then went to pick it up), I was sure they had gotten the order wrong so I opened it and was frankly, appalled. I said something to the nice server who had given me the bag and she said “yeah, a lot of people mention the small size of this babka serving”. It was almost $7 and was the size of a mini muffin! She said they were all that small so nothing she could do for me. Well, if lots of people are complaining about the size and the value you are offering, maybe you should stop saying “I hear you” in your responses to these unhappy comments and actually do something about it?! I don’t care how good this is, I will never come back to Bakey if this is their value proposition. There are a lot of better options out there and several on the same block. Shame on you, Bakey!

Service was so friendly and all the pastries were very fresh! The seasonal blueberry babka was my favorite but the smores is also a must try. This was my first time trying the savory items and I was a big fan of the bagel sandwich with the tuna salad. Can’t go wrong here – definitely will be back!

Spent a long weekend in Brookline for work and went to Bakey every day at 7am for breakfast. My coworkers and I tried almost all of their pastries! Our favorites included all the babkas (blueberry, raspberry, cinnamon and chocolate were our favorites), the cheesestick and broissant. I also tried Tatte bakery, but I preferred the cappuccino at Bakey.

This was my second time at Bakey. The first time was at the Bakey on Tremont Street, which I recently reviewed. The Brookline location has 15-minute parking out front, which is enough time if you plan on taking to-go, and it isn’t crowded (which it wasn’t when I went at opening on a Sunday). This location is also just as spacious, with a few tables.
I got the chocolate babka again because it was my favorite the first time and added the cinnamon and raspberry babkas. The babkas this time weren’t as fluffy or soft. Each one was true to its flavor, though. The cinnamon was my least favorite, and the chocolate is still my favorite. The raspberry wasn’t bad.
One thing I do appreciate is that you get slightly more bang for your buck with Bakey’s babkas compared to pastries at other bakeries. They also have a reward system via Toast.
