Bakery El Shaddai is an absolute hidden gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the smell of fresh tortillas and baked goods that instantly tell you everything is made with care.
I ordered a breakfast taco with salsa, and it was outstanding. The tortilla was soft and clearly fresh, the filling was generous and flavorful, and the salsa had the perfect balance of heat and freshness. You can taste the quality ingredients — nothing greasy, nothing bland, just well-executed, authentic food.
The service was warm and efficient, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and community-oriented. It’s the kind of place where you can tell regulars come back often — and now I understand why.
If you’re in the area and want a legit breakfast (or fresh baked goods), this spot deserves a visit. Supporting local businesses like this is a win.
Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back.

Love this bakery. Their baked goods are top notch and their food is delicious. I got a torta today but tacos, omelette, and burritos are all so good.
They’re also very nice people with awesome pricing.

I don’t understand the negative reviews. This place is great. They have a bakery with a good selection of bread. They also serve lunch, breakfast and dinner.

Great little bakery for Mexican and Salvadoran sweets/pastries, snacks, drinks and food. The inside is a bit small but there is a space to eat and the rest of the space is packed wall to wall with all sorts of goods. There are a few pastry cases with pan dulce, donuts, churros etc. The selection isn’t as big as some of the bakeries in Pasadena but there is definitely enough variety to scratch that Mexican bakery itch without having to make the drive over there. I noticed that they sell hot breakfast food (tacos/burritos/plates) as well as lunch and dinner food. Next time I’ll try the some of the hot options. The muffins, empanadas and other baked items whos names I do not know were really delicious. There is a nice selection of international grocery/pharmacy/cleaning products as well. The service was prompt, friendly and welcoming. I’ll be back for breakfast and hopefully lunch!

I called to find out if they made the hamantaschen for Purim and the woman who answered said hello. When I asked if I was calling the right place she confirmed but when I asked my question she said with a Spanish accent that she didn’t speak English. When I asked, in English, if there was someone else I could talk to she said that she didn’t understand. So in Spanish, I speak enough to tell people I don’t speak it, I asked to speak with someone else because I don’t speak a lot of Spanish. She said for me to hold and promptly hung up. I’m not bothering.
