Bakery Delights is always delicious and somehow they keep getting better. I love the pork bun and the duck plate the most. The sauce that comes with the duck is incredible. Their portions are always so generous.

Bakery Delights is a cozy Chinese bakery tucked away at Cedar & Herndon, serving not only fresh buns and pastries but also classic Cantonese roast meats . It’s the kind of place where you can walk in for a sweet bun and walk out with a full plate of roast duck over rice.
Roast Duck Rice Combo
For $19, you get a generous portion of roast duck layered over steamed white rice with broccoli on the side. The duck itself is a standout—juicy, flavorful, and well-balanced between fatty richness and lean cuts. The portion size is impressive, rivaling some established Chinese restaurants in both quality and quantity. Don’t skip the accompanying duck sauce —it ties the dish together with a savory depth that elevates both the meat and the rice.
Red Bean Paste Bun
From the bakery side, the red bean paste bun is soft, slightly sweet, and filled with smooth bean paste that’s not overly heavy. It’s a great grab-and-go snack and showcases the shop’s roots as a traditional Chinese bakery.

I have been a loyal patron for over 3-4 years. That ended today. I will not be giving my business to this place nor will any of my family members from now on. Not only has the quality dropped, the portions and quality control have. Several times I’ve gotten cold buns, or dry buns. Today I came in and spent well over $20. Both of my baked pork buns were nothing but bread with small sprinkles of pork. Absolutely ridiculous. This was my final straw and will never be returning. As friendly as the staff is and I always wanna support local, theres genuinely no excuse for charging me $3 for a glorified bread roll.

Expertly cooked Chinese food in a simple setting for good prices. Everything on the menu is good. The baked BBQ pork buns are the star of the show. We loved the red bean paste buns. Great pastries for dessert, too. Amazing roast duck. They have some tables, but most folks take the food home. No table service. No credit cards accepted. CASH ONLY.

I loved it! This was the first place I’ve seen that had Chinese desserts. It was interesting getting to try new foods and their portions are generous. The main thing that could be improved is the ratio of filling to bread in the buns. Also, they take CASH ONLY but there is an ATM nearby.
We tried the baked BBQ bun, red bean bun, fried pork dumpling, BBQ pork bun, ube rice cake, pandan rice cake, and roast duck plate. The fried rice was fantastic! The rice cakes are not something I’d typically get but it was definitely great trying them.

We got the crispy pork belly. Has so much flavor. I loved it. And the steamed pork buns are very delicious too. You will have to stand in line for a little bit, because you can’t go inside. Order at the door. So worth the wait.. they open at 10am. They say come early cause they might run out of some stuff. We will be back again..

What happen to this place? Did they change owner? The steam bun is not the same anymore. The bun is spongy and dry, the filling of pork is dry and grainy. Spent almost $100 and can’t even finish all the bun. What happen to the soft, fluffy, pillowy bun? Bring that back. Sadly, this will be my last time.

Love this place. Cheap and delicious. Service is fast. You can tell most of the food is handmade not frozen. Came here and got the baked and steamed buns, rice cake, sesame ball and pork belly. Baked goods typically made ahead of time but still kept warm. They have their menu on the outside of the window.

Small portions of pork belly that were cut it’s thin strips to make it look like more but was such a small amount, also they were burnt on the top and almost broke a tooth, the pork bowl was all rice and a few leaves of cabbage no broccoli. The pork buns also have hardly any meat, mostly just bread. Spent $30, not worth it. I won’t be returning again
