This place was incredible. The moment I walked in, the smell of Vietnamese broth hugged me. The people working were “grandma style kitchen” it was nostalgic to me as a Venezuelan. My kids ate the pot stickers from the starters and broth, I ordered Pho and it was plenty! The service was like being at your grandma’s house when wanting to give you more and more food as a message of love! Will definitely be coming back! Coffee and Thai Ice Tea were like I remembered when I was in South East Asia too.

Absolutely love this place. Every item on the menu is a 10/10. The Vietnamese coffee, and Thai tea are amazing. We didn’t get to try the black coffee but I’m sure it’s also very good. The doughnuts are some of the best I’ve ever had. They’re very moist, and sweet but not overly sweet. All the breakfast sandwiches are delicious as well. The dinner menu is also great and you need to check it out. You need to try this place out, especially for the very inexpensive price point no where else even competes.

RESTAURANT and BAKERY!!! Beyond fresh and delicious food and huge, tasty baked goods. The price is reasonable compared to other restaurants in the boothbay harbor area. Generous portions made to order. We had breakfast and returned for dinner! My husband grabbed pastries before we left town. They were huge, fresh and the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend!!!!!

This is a bit of a departure from my formal, thorough restaurant reviews but I simply have to shout out the fine folks of Bakers Way. Their breakfast sandwiches are up there with the best I’ve ever had, and the bakery selection is second to none. Let me preface this anecdote with the fact that my wife despises donuts as a concept. I order a cheeky vanilla sprinkled donut, and grab it from the lovely woman working the counter. I hand it to my wife to hold while I go to pay (and they say chivalry is dead). I turn around and what do I see? 3/4 of the donut missing and her with sprinkles on her face going “you may want to get another donut”. Amazing spot for coffee, craic, sandwiches, and donuts.

We stop here whenever we’re in the area. Breakfast sandwiches are big and delicious, they season them so even the vegetarian ones are wicked good. Pictured is the egg and cheese on a cwassont. Apple fritter is equally as good and as big as your head. Good ratios between apple, frosting, and dough and doesn’t taste of fry oil like some other places. Vietnamese coffee was halfway gone by the time I went to take a picture. The back deck is a great place to hang out and eat. It can get busy so build in some extra time if you’re trying to catch a boat. Breakfast is served all day. Haven’t tried the lunch or dinner menu yet as we’re always there in the morning. Highly recommend!

Stopped here for lunch and had spring roll and chicken satay. Both were delicious. The back patio was delightful and a view of the water just perfect. They had a bunch of breakfast options and breakfast sandwiches. Nothing fancy. We didnt try any of the breakfast items but can attest its got very good Vietnamese food.

There are currently limited places that are open in the area and we were happy to have found this place! Their deserts were deliciously large and their breakfast sandwich was super yummy! I definitely recommend maybe calling in your order ahead of arriving there even if you’re dinning in so it can go a bit faster.

Incredible food!!! We stopped here for lunch after reading reviews online. The owners are so nice and have been here for over 25 years! We got the pho and vermicelli, both delicious. Gotta finish it off with some fresh made pastries and Thai tea/Vietnamese coffee 🙂 Everything is very affordable and delicious, treat yourself and stop by

I love a good apple fritter. I had heard Baker’s Way put out a mean one, so made the hour plus trip to try one. It did NOT disappoint. Crispy where it should be, tender elsewhere, and generously glazed, it lived up to the hype. Not cheap at $4.00 and change, it was also the size of a small country, so still a good value. I’m six foot, so as you can see by the attached photo, it really is about the biggest fritter you are likely to behold.
Worth the trip? Absolutely.
