Went for a cold drink after spending the day being a tourist in the heat. Didn’t have anything to eat, but regret my decision. Wish I would have had the Roast Beef Sandwich that this place is known for. Although, had an ICE COLD pint of Rolling Rock that was the highlight of the day. Not too many places that have on tap. ROLLING ROCK is very underrated and is a perfect choice for the summer. Liverwurst & Onions would of been my 2nd choice. Next time I’ll order 1 of each.

Be warned if you visit this place when busy and walk in nobody will come take your name or talk to you about how many people are waiting for seats. When you go to grab an empty table the old haggard waitresses will come yell at you that somebody else was waiting when they never even acknowledged you as a human in the first place. Pretty sad because the food is delicious just needs an update in the wait list for the place. Been an LBI local for years and have eaten here many times take my advice don’t go when busy you’ll get treated like a mannequin

Can’t say enough great things about the Port Hole. It’s a local dive bar, but that is what makes it great. The food is good, drinks and food are served quickly and prices are outstanding, especially for a beach town! I hate to even post this review because I don’t want others learning about this treasure and making it hard for me to get a seat when I go.

!!BEWARE!! THIS PLACE LIKES TO DELETE POOR REVIEWS!!!! My wife, sister, and I all went in for drinks and some food a few weeks back. The service was not only subpar but it was almost nonexistent. After waiting for 10 minutes, at the bar I might add, for someone to even acknowledge us we got drinks and some apps in. It took a whole lot of attitude from the bartender to even do so…After eating we then proceeded to sit there with empty drinks for upwards of 15 minutes while all the “regulars” around us got over the top service. We were looking to put in for our dinners but we got the check and left when the bartender came back around. If you aren’t an everyday customer then stay away because you won’t be welcomed.

Coldest beer on LBI! After yesterday, in my opinion, they have taken over first place for best cheesesteak as well. The famous roast beef sandwich au jus has been a melt-in-your-mouth local favorite for a long time. If you like the unassuming atmosphere of a neighborhood bar with a pool table this is the place to visit! Bring cash because credit cards do not fly here.
