It’s a shame that we keep passing this bakery without noticing it. We were looking for high-quality velvet cake and went to another bakery in Carle Place and found the quality there went downhill a lot. Then we searched online and found Bakers of All Nations. What a great discovery! This is a Portuguese bakery. The owner was very friendly and introduced us to many popular items and even let us sampled an egg tart which was very good. We got several cake pieces and loved their velvet cake and lemon cake. The napoleon pastry was pretty good, too. So was the bola de berlim, a donut-like pastry filled with vanilla cream, originally from Berlin, Germany. We will be coming back for their sandwiches and bread for sure. The price was reasonable and the quality was supreme. Highly recommend this place!

Our favorite stop when we come to town! This place has it all. Amazing breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. The Pastel de Natas are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Seriously a must have. And the toasts mista paninis with added egg are the perfect breakfast. If you’re looking for a good local bakery or a place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with friends, this is the place. Pro tip is try to go during the week or after the morning rush on weekends for faster service. Either way, it’s worth the wait.

NATO and other pastries are amazing. Service by Alexa was fantastic. It is self service and they do have tables to sit down and enjoy.

I have been coming here for about 5yrs now for the NATAs. I take it to work, family and ALWAYS ppl say it is deelicious!!
The early morning fresh ones out of the oven r the best— so warm gooey and fluffy.

I loove the chicken pastrey-balls too.
It’s a self serve place where u order and then u sit down to eat and the ladies at the counters come give u food. Then u pay after or once u ordered. It was a little confusing the first time I came.
But such a gem for a neighborhood local place- good pricing. And u know it is GOOD bc the place is full of Portuguese speaking ppl and elders.
Love it!

The place smelled bad—I should have walked away. The product was not fresh and gave me stomach aches. When I contacted the bakery, they told me to stop by and ‘return’ the product, bring proof of purchase, and said they might be able to issue a refund.

Wow. Over the years the bigger they get the worse they become. Tried to Christmas order over the phone the other day for pick up some pastel de nata. They said they stopped taking orders on Monday and it’s strictly walk in only. Asked twice if they were sure we could do that. Well I’m here at 7:30 and the women looked at us and quietly said asked how many do we need ? We asked for 3 dozen. She went to the back and came out and said not available. We said what about less? 2 dozen ? 1 dozen? She went back and came out saying not available. Simultaneously the owner came out and my wife asked her and she had such an attitude!!!! Her voice loudly preaching inquisitively. Don’t you know! Condescending and brutish all at once! Every year I keep saying I’d rather make the drive to Farmingville and truth is they taste better out there !!

As other reviews have pointed out, the service at this location is far below average. When I placed my order, the lady seemed bored and impatient. I stood around for 5 minutes at the counter where there were ladies who kept walking past without any acknowledgment when there were no other customers. I saw the workers laughing and talking amongst themselves, but I was treated as if I was interrupting their conversation. The owner herself said good morning to me while two workers stood by as if I was invisible. The breakfast sandwiches were small and burnt; I also ordered egg on my sandwich which was missing. The pastries were okay, but nothing to write home about. I left feeling burdensome and still hungry. Would not return.

Bakers of Nations is really wonderful — I come here on a regular basis. It’s a great spot to stop in for a cappuccino and enjoy their high variety of Mediterranean baked goods. My favorite is their Portuguese natas, but they also have broa de milho and all kinds of breads, cookies and donuts type of sweets. Definitely a lovely place to visit!

We came here for the pastéis de nata. We were not disappointed. The tarts were perfectly sweet and crispy. We also tried a slice of their passion fruit chocolate cake. It was good but a bit dense and the passion fruit flavor was not very noticeable. Overall a nice bakery. I would probably come back to try their other items.
