They prioritize Drive thu over Dine in..
They need to get rid of kiosk service.
They don’t even acknowledge us when we walk in, but only to say help yourself with the kiosk…
The robot doesn’t even take cash, and employees don’t want to help you.
The guy had a miserable attitude when I asked for human assistance or if I needed to go thru the drive thru instead?
Fast forward to January 1, 2025, and I am asked by a friend to go to Bakers. This particular one is preferred, over the one on the other side of town, due to issues some people had over there in the past. We go through drive-thru, and I succumb to ordering food since I didn’t feel like driving. We order the same items, get out food in a timely manner, and I take my friend home.
The burritos were so small and tiny that they seemed like they were for a kids’ meal. The drink was actually a full cup of ice with coke instead of the easy ice I asked for. The source of my issue was mixed in with the fries.
Yes, all of this reading you just went through to find out I had a hair in my fries. It was not my friends hair or my hair. So, I called and described the issue. At no time did the person I talk sound surprised or even immediately apologetic. It came across as a dismissive common issue, and the suggestion was to come back and get another “small fry.”
My gas and time exceeded the cost of this solution. At the end of the conversation, I received the closing “I’m sorry.” I can tell you this. I have received two gift cards (per single incident) from In N Out corporate at any time there had been an issue. They take customer service seriously, and my issues have always been the occasional and not specific to just one location.
What do I want from Bakers? Nothing, I stopped giving them business long ago. This experience confirms why I stopped eating Bakers and, more specifically, the lack of value when pricing against competing vendors.
Thank you, Bakers.
Note: I have a picture of the hair, should they want a picture of it.
If you know, you know.
