I recently had the pleasure of dining at this BBQ food truck while visiting Lago Vista for the day, and it was an outstanding experience. The brisket was tender and flavorful, the jalapeño and cheese sausage was an absolute winner, the mac n cheese was creamy, and the corn elote was delicious. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

The barbecue here is the real deal. I had the 2 meat plate with ribs, brisket, Mexican street corn, and beefy baked beans. The ribs were about as tender as they could be without actually falling of the bone and very juicy. The seasoning is perfect, just a smidge north of mild. The brisket was juicy with lots of flavor. Mexican street corn was really good, the sauce that they put on it explodes with flavor.

We really, really wanted to love this place based on the reviews and the great customer service we received. The people were lovely and it was easy to place our order and pay. We got the sliced brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, one meat plate (with sliced brisket and potato salad and Mexican street corn on the side, and an extra side of Mac and Cheese. The potato salad is hands down the best I’ve ever had. If I came back, the potato salad would be why. The Mac and Cheese was also quite good. The corn was incredibly disappointing. It was basically corn that looked like it had been grilled and then either steamed or sautéed. There was none of the usual topping (creama or cotija) and just no flavor. The corn itself tasted rubbery. The pulled pork was good, but not a standout. The brisket had a beautiful smoke ring but was very fatty. As someone who loves moist brisket, that’s not a problem for me. The issue is that the fat hadn’t rendered so it was thick and solid, making unpleasant lines between the chunks of lean meat. There was very little bark. I’m really hoping that we just caught them on a off day, because the other reviewers pictures look great and they seem to have had great experiences. Ours just fell flat. Except for the potato salad. That was heaven. It’s worth a trip on its own.

Dear Lord… this place is good. I had the pleasure of sitting down with the owner and talking BBQ while I ate, and I couldn’t get over how incredible the food was. Coming from Elgin, TX, where BBQ is a big deal, this place did not disappoint. In fact, I think it rivals some of the well-known joints in Austin.
The brisket is a masterclass, and the seasoning on the pork ribs is out of this world. I’m not a big fan of chewy ribs, and these were so tender and fall-off-the-bone that you don’t need teeth to enjoy them. The sides were standouts as well. The smoked corn had a depth of flavor that blew me away, and the potato salad had an excellent texture and taste.
This is a taste of handmade, homemade BBQ mastery. Definitely worth the drive out from Elgin the next time I get a chance. I love the pride that this place puts into their food, and hearing about what they do for the community makes me want to support them even more. What a great place. Thanks to the Baker family for this absolute gem.

DELICIOUS brisket!!! I’ve been eating barbecue for over 30 years and this is one of the best brisket sandwiches I’ve ever had! Thank God he’s right here in Lago Vista! Also, Mr. Baker makes the most delicious and moist turkey breast you’ve ever tasted! It’s wonderful as a main entree, in a sandwich, or on a salad, etc. AND, do NOT miss out on his burnt ends!!! O.M.G.!!! Really, you can’t go wrong, no matter what you choose to eat at Baker’s Brisket; sausage, ribs, brisket, chicken, pork steak, sides are yummy, too. This is my husband’s FAVORITE cole slaw, too.
We have picked up countless meals here over the years, yet, I only have one picture. That’s because we devour the food as soon as we walk in our door! I don’t wait to take any pictures before we devour it.

Amazing brisket. No issues with unrendered fat & I didn’t have to specify any meat cuts. They just did the dang thing & did it right . I drive by every morning omw home from Georgetown & the smell is absolutely intoxicating. They also offer Mexican Street corn aka elite with SMOKED corn (really sends it up a notch) along with chipotle mayonnaise. I have a real aversion to spicy food, I’m curious if I could order with regular mayo . I keep coming back for it tho, ordered a pint the other day. Pricing is comparable to what’s in the area & the staff is always so lovely ! Last time I went in they were making a loaded baked potato that looked out of this friggin world! Highly suggested, check the reviews for yourself. More condiment options i.e mustard would give this 5 ⭐

I’ve been in largo Vista for a month, and I wish I had visited Baker’s Brisket earlier! My doodle and I visited them today. Their brisket and pulled pork are to die for! Amazingly soft, moist and flavorful, served by the most friendly and lovely couple I’ve met in a long time.
I moved here from Austin, and I can say with certainty that their brisket – and service – are far better than Rudy’s or Franklin’s or Stiles Switch.

The chopped beef sandwich features fresh beef with just the right amount of sauce. Best I’ve ever had. The cheesy hominy was tasty and pretty spicy. My wife’s sliced brisket sandwich and potato salad was fantastic, as consistently true. Burnt ends were an extra gem.

The brisket is amazing, and the street corn is a must! The corn has a nice smokey touch that just tops it off. Everything was excellent. Will definitely be back for the street corn.
