This place is sour dough pizza heaven! Located right in downtown Ocean City, NJ this place will knock your socks off. We tried a little of everything and it was all excellent. The donuts stole the show though especially the savory Korean bbq with scallions. This place is a must try in a town that lacks many solid food options.

Talk about a house DIVIDED!
.
Well, we’ve tried the few new Pizza joints near the OCNJ area (tried the new-ish hot spot in Somers Point a week ago) and everyone said we had to try Bakeria 1010….So for the last Friday in Lent we did.
.
Ordering was super easy (as opposed to the Somers Point spot). We didn’t have to plan ahead, we didn’t have to order and pay ahead of time….We just called, ordered, they asked what time we wanted to pick it up, we said ASAP and placed our order. Simple, told us they’d be ready in 25 minutes (called at 5pm on a Friday).
.
We ordered a “Full” Margherita Square pie $38 (ouch) and a round Bianca (White Pie) $25.
.
This is where the house got divided, the boys didn’t hate the square pie, but the ladies did. Oh boy did they, and they let us know how much they DID NOT LIKE the Square Pie. Like super annoying about it, almost started a family fight….
.
If you don’t like a thick, dense (yet airy) Focaccia bread type of square pizza….Then this isn’t for you. However, I appreciate all sorts of pizza and I can tell the craftsmanship that went into creating this dough. This was on the pricey side, but now we can say we tried it. The dough had a nice sourdough flavor, you can tell the dough was fermenting a while. It was cooked nice and evenly, and was very well executed. Just too much $$$ for us….Sorry, but it is….
.
The White Round Pie (Bianca) was the extreme opposite, very thin, but didn’t have much crunch to the slice, however it was extremely enjoyable. The balance of cheese and garlic was on point, if we go back, we’ll definitely go with a round pie as opposed to the thicker, pricier square pie. Probably try a round Margherita pie as opposed to the thicker square pie.
.
Upon picking up the pies, the girlfriend noted that the inside was very nice, with seating as well as a “slice bar” where you can just grab a slice and try it that way. If you’re strolling Asbury, that’s the move right there.
.
I think our bill for the two pies was $68 and to me that is just way, crazy expensive for two pizzas, with like zero extra toppings.
.
I’d definitely recommend the slice bar if you’re in town. If the place in Somers Point didn’t overcook our pie, we’d prefer them. So on one hand we paid a premium for a well done pie that everyone kinda liked but wished it was cooked less, versus this pie that we paid a premium, but not everyone was feeling the thicker style of pie. Either way, for this style, we still prefer the place in Jackson NJ (hate naming names on others reviews).
.
Gave them 5 Stars across the board because they don’t deserve to get dinged on price and a house divided. We knew the price going in, we placed the order willingly…..Not their fault we felt it was a bit over priced. They are doing their thing and we hope others try it and make their own decisions as well!

Delicious pizza squares and also some tasty donuts as a nice surprise. Got a square/slice of Margherita twice this past week and bot times were delicious. Both times was also able to snag one of their daily donuts and both times they were delicious as well. Cashier and owner were both very friendly, will be coming back!

A MUST TRY! Best pizza in South Jersey! Quality ingredients, interesting toppings, and always delicious! The staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. In person guests take priority over phone orders, so be patient if you call to place an order or to ask a question! They’ll get to you as soon as they can.

Bakeria 1010 is easily the best pizza in South Jersey. Mike is a true pizza savant whose recommendations never miss. I’ll follow him around from the pop-ups in Ventnor to Linwood, Philly, and now Ocean City. His quests led me to Burger Buff and it was incredible. I enjoyed the Spicy Roni, Pepperoni, and Burger Buff squares, and each was outstanding. The sourdough crust is perfectly crisp and chewy. Be sure to get a side of king sauce as well. The team there makes you feel like family. Highly recommend!

That was some serious pizza. I only got one slice, which was the mushroom but man was it good. The dough is so light and airy yet has great crunch on the bottom which makes me think it might be focaccia. All of the pies looked great, looking forward to getting this again the next time I’m in town

Easily rated top 3 cheese steak around. The roll was made in-house to perfection and the meat and cheese were top quality. Not sure how to make perfect any better. These guys nailed it. Nice treat on Sundays. Thanks!

If you like a focaccia type dough, then this pizza is for you. It’s more bread than toppings and a bit dry. We tried it because Kelly Drives featured them and we happen to be in OC visiting someone. We prefer a thin crust pizza. And $42 for a pie is a bit much. Pizza was ready when they said it would be and we were greeted by a friendly individual.

Crunchy crust, chewy crust, thick bread-like airy crust. You would think these three things are three different crusts but I’m telling you that it is one crust here. This is a pizza in a totally different state than is normally found in the pizza world. You have to try it to understand how good it is. My only problem was thinking I was entering a medical facility when I went in to eat. This threw me, as I’m accustomed to pizzerias in standalones or more populous places in the evenings. Trust me, eat here…Try a pizza!

2020-12-01 stopped by again to try more pizza and I’m glad I did. Today I tried the tomato pizza, the pepperoni and jalapeno pizza, the mushroom pizza, and the sausage pepper pizza. All were wonderful! I’m really amazed at how you can have a thick chewy crunchy pizza like this. The crust is unreal!
