Baja taco was established in 1989 in Cordova, Alaska by former owner Liz Pudwill. It was originally just a old bus, which was outfitted as a kitchen.

Best fish tacos we ever had. Super fresh and delicious. The stuff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. In 2 days we had 4 meals there…!!! (I’m Gluten and dairy sensitive and was happy they could accommodate my needs) Check them out!!

I expected this place to be fun and tasty and was STILL pleasantly surprised. The seating area is comfortable and engaging. My fish burrito was HUGE and stuffed with deliciousness, and there were recognizable chunks of avocado in the guacamole, which I love. Milkshakes and rootbeer floats also get the thumbs-up.
Edit: I went back a few days later and got nachos. So, so good! I wish this place was in my town, so I could keep going back.

This place has a ton of character! I had the veg-mex quesadilla which was a bit soggy from all the salsa. My husband had the nachos, the portion was gigantic! There is tons of seating, both indoor and outdoor, which was really nice.

Crazy good food way up north. A quick stop after heading in from the backcountry for a bite and wow! I had the enchilada which looked to be about the size of a football. The taste was amazing, the service incredible, and I can’t wait u til my next 3000+ mile trip back here to eat again.
