I had an amazing experience at Baja Fish Taco! The restaurant is spotless, the portions are generous, and the food is absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. My favorite is the veggie burrito with the verde salsa. I wish I’d known this restaurant long ago, but ever since we discovered it, we’ve been going there all the time! Highly recommend!

Baja Fish Tacos specializes in Mexican and seafood cuisine, particularly fish tacos. They have locations throughout most of Orange County and parts of the Inland Empire. This particular location can be found near the intersection of Jamboree Road and Irvine Blvd.

I always order the Taco & Enchilada Combo when I visit any of their locations – cheese enchilada, all rice and no beans, and a fish taco Ensenada style is where it’s at! You can’t go wrong with a cheese quesadilla for the kiddos. My daughter and I also tried their cheese nachos, but it was disappointing because all the cheese turned into a solid sticky mass. We washed down our meal with a fountain beverage. I found both the cashier and restaurant staff at this location to be super friendly and helpful. Prices have gone up since my last visit as our meal totaled almost $50 with tax and tip, but at least I ordered enough for us to have leftovers!

Updated review.

I previously came to visit and found that this location was under construction. I have returned to try the food.

I ordered a steak burrito combo and a drink. The combo comes with only rice and beans (black or pinto). The combo does not come with chips or a drink which is typical combos for similar Mexican diners. The combo with drink cost $24.

The food was presented very well. The burrito was tasty and filling. The included avocado was a good addition. The only complaint is the rice that tasted in the verge of steam rice. It slightly threw off my palate. The pinto beans were great. Tasted like traditional dish possibly with a hint of lard in the ingredient.

Customer service was friendly. I observed staff constantly keeping the dining area clean and ready for the next guest. The staff here seems to value and have pride in their work.

Large indoor and outdoor dining area. Several TVs indoors to view sports.

Overall I had a nice experience. The only draw back is the high price paid for a burrito and drink.

My experience: food is very fresh. blackened ( charboiled) ck burrito is moist and huge. Sausa bar has freshly made green & red sauce, mild sausa, and spice sauce, pickled onion, hopped cilantros, lime slices, and whole jalapeno peppers. The cahsier is quick and know what they are doing. employees are taking turns to clean the public stations and tables. there are many tables in various sices for single, small group or large group. also seating outside as well. Worth to come. order at the counter.

I ordered delivery. I ordered a carne asada burrito, fish taco and shrimp taco. The burrito and fish taco were disappointing.
The fish looked like grilled chicken with the same texture of chicken. The “fish” was covered in cabbage and that’s it. They literally covered the whole taco with cabbage and a tiny piece of “fish”.
‘. It was
dry and tasted awful. The burrito had this horrible clumpy white rice in it which completely ruined it. They didn’t put the pinto beans I requested in it. There was barely any meat. The few pieces of meat I was able to taste was good. It was a nice size burrito but not worth $19. Charging that much and giving me what was basically a veggie burrito is robbery. The shrimp taco was bomb. I really enjoyed it. I wouldn’t go back due to the fact that I paid so much for so little. I guess I had to go in to get better food. Chipotle gives more meat than this place and that’s not saying much. You’ve been warned.

I always love Baja fish tacos! I’ve been going to the original forever, so when they started expanding, I have gone to most locations since most of them are located near the freeways. They have consistent good quality and taste at all locations. My only gripe is that this location uses the MOST strongest scented cleaning agent. Maybe fabuloso? Now while having a clean restaurant is far better than a dirty one, the smell is off putting and affects my dining experience and food taste. The smell is THAT strong. For people with health conditions and/or are sensitive to scent, especially chemicals, it’s enough to not come back and go to another location. Please change the amount of product used and not just dump the whole bottle. I would love to come back since it’s closer but am willing to drive to the next closest location for the time being.

I’ve been coming to Baja Fish since their very first location at MacArthur and Bristol, and they’ve never disappointed. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the service is consistently great. Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, they treat you right. Highly recommend!

Bland. I got a carne asada burrito, she got a chicken taco and an Ensenada fish taco. Nothing had any spice/heat and the cabbage on the fish tacos had little/no seasoning. My burrito was wet and the green sauce was sour with little other flavor. The hot green salsa was decent. Guac was good, beef was cooked well but tough. Better tasting than Casa Del Sol but Wahoo’s is far better. Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean but smelled like cleaning spray when we walked in the door.
