Best place I’ve had food at a smaller restaurant in the Pasadena or surrounding area. The place is very clean. The food is fantastic and the people working there are really nice.
This place has something for everybody.
I would recommend this place not just to anyone in the Pasadena area but also if you live around the city then for sure come check it out. It’s a great place to eat.

I was helped by a worker here named Eddie and he was extremely rude had an attitude as soon as I walked up to the register to order. I’ve gone to other Baja Cali locations and this one the service sucks. I asked for the taco Tuesday specials which already comes with condiments. However, I asked for one extra of each flavor, which would total to three of each all together, but Eddie said because I’m already getting a discount that he would now need to charge extra for each condiment that comes with the special and the extra. This made no sense to me. So, I reiterated what he was trying to do and he said okay I can only give you two not three. I still didn’t understand what the issue was if was asking for one more extra in condiments, I had no problem paying extra for but to go back and forth with the staff about this I wasn’t going to waste my time. If you plan on going to this location hopefully you have a better experience than I did.

Came here after a local hike because we were craving fish tacos. This place hit the spot if that’s what you are looking for. The fish tacos were crispy and came with a delicious chipotle crema. The ceviche mixta with shrimp and fish was quite good.
It’s a casual place: it’s very clean, no frills, the food is good and cheap. That’s all you need sometimes!!

Firstly, yesterday was a deal on “ALL MEAT” tacos, Birria is meat and I was charged full price. Now if Birria is not included in this deal, there should be a disclaimer advising that specific meat is exempt. Secondly, the tacos I purchased had very little meat in them as you can see in the pictures.

Taco Tuesday special is the fried fish tacos for $1.25 each. Yummy! I got three fish tacos and horchata for less than $10.
The place was a bit busy. Looked like a local favorite. Indoor dining area was open but limited tables. Back patio limited seating was available.
Service was efficient, place was clean, and it’s next door to Carmela’s Ice Cream. Limited parking but plenty of street parking. I’m definitely coming back for these fish tacos.

Who knew they were here? when in pasadena, i tapped in baja cali because I wanted campechena, and assumed it would be in alhambra…. but it sent me north and voila it was right next to carmelas! two of my fave jointsThe food is as good as the Alhambra location, and it was strange that it was so empty, tho the lack of tables seems to play into that. The service was comparitively surly to the mother location and the music, though good (Banda de Sebastianes!) was very loud. So it’s a place to get your food and leave , after maybe getting helado next door

They are finally open. They are offering their soft opening menu which includes their signature 99cent Fish Tacos, every day. This location is just as outstanding as the mothership in Alhambra. Great job Baja Cali.
