One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Dined by myself on a weeknight, but made a reservation to be safe. There were almost no tourists and everyone else dining appeared to be local- which was a great sign. Everything was lovely from the service to the artfully crafted dishes and the wonderful wine selection. I opted for the fish of the day which happened to be pollock and the profiterole for dessert. I would order this meal again 100x. I cannot wait to come back to Baillotte and would highly recommend!

This was our favorite restaurant in our Paris trip. We had the opportunity to enjoy a pre-New Year’s course meal. Every dish was delicious, using high-quality ingredients and meticulously prepared. The timing between each course was perfect, and the service was excellent. The wine was good and served at the perfect temperature. We were very happy. Thank you for the great food.

We had the just most tremendous lunch. I am very challenging when it comes to great flavour and quality. But here you get real Michelin star deserving eating experience for the senses. From presentation to flavour to colours and textures it is a real secret gem hidden away in the route du Dragon.

Japanese chef, french-japanese fusion cuisine, the best of both worlds. If you go for the lunch formule, the scallops with black truffles are worth the extra 6 euro. Everything was good, sauces were rich and silky, the desert was truly spectacular, the main dish that I chose (partridge or guinea fowl) felt too heavy and not properly balanced, but that’s just me. Technically it was perfect, with crispy charred skin and juicy, slightly undercooked (but cooked) meat. Not that many wines by the glass, and relatively pricey, but I guess it is normal for this range.

Lovely restaurant in the Saint-Germain quarter!
The service is warm and professional, and each dish shows great attention to detail. The flavors are refined and well-balanced — my starter, a smoked trout carpaccio with goat cheese, was absolutely perfect. The main course, monkfish (catch of the day), was also nicely cooked. Highly recommend!

We are retired age couple traveling with friends. Booked dinner at Baillotte based on reviews and location. We were greeted nicely and promptly for our 7 pm reservation however host “pointed” at our table vs taking us to same so we headed to wrong table .. Small detail but…. Ambiance and decor of restaurant is very well done and has been curated by someone who has a nice talent for same. As we looked to order my wife, who is a light eater wanted to order only an entree but was curtly informed it was mandatory to order a “plat” (main course). I understand it’s a smaller restaurant needing to generate revenue but have never experienced being told that one must order a certain course “or else”. In any case we went with the flow..I ordered scallops in a white sauce entree and veal plat (main). Then between us 2 orders of a vegetarian main and 2 orders of veal. My scallop entree was beautifully presented and the scallops were cooked to perfection. The white sauce had a perfect texture but I found it to be lacking in “complexity” of taste – but overall good. My veal main was good but felt the veal was not as tender and flavorful as I was hoping but overall pleasant. Three ala carte glasses of wine were good but felt the size of the pour was in the light side (maybe 1/6 of a glass???). Prices fair but not inexpensive. Having been somewhat put off by being told it was mandatory to order a plat (main) we decided to opt out of desert course and went for ice cream elsewhere.
Ownership of “Baillotte” are clearly working hard to present a wonderful atmosphere and haute cuisine but missed the mark for us…but perhaps that was “us and not them”. The other reviews here certainly suggest that the large majority of patrons have a very positive experience!

My recent trip to Paris was filled with memorable moments, but the absolute highlight was undoubtedly a meal at Baillotte! From the moment the first dish arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a meal; it was an artistic expression.
The food was nothing short of exquisite. Each bite offered a symphony of unique flavors that beautifully danced on the tongue, a testament to the chef’s mastery. Beyond the taste, the presentation was a visual feast for the eyes. Every plate was meticulously crafted, making the act of dining an aesthetic pleasure.
What truly elevated this experience was the chef’s unwavering commitment to fresh, seasonal ingredients. The quality shone through in every single bite, proving that simple, high-quality components can create the most extraordinary dishes.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough for either lunch or dinner. Come prepared to be absolutely delighted – it will undoubtedly be a highlight of your Parisian culinary adventures.
