My wife and I visited the Bahar on a Wednesday evening. I emailed earlier in the day to request a table and received a positive reply within the hour.
We arrived in Tenbury and found ample on street parking nearby.
We received a warm welcome and were invited to our table, on the first floor up the spiral staircase.
The restaurant was inviting, and everything was very clean and well presented..
The menu was varied with helpful descriptions for all the items on offer. There were several fish options available, a good selection of drinks and variety of deserts on offer.
We selected our choices and found the food to be really delicious with good portions. It was well served an hot on arrival.
The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and our evening.
We’ve been looking for a good Indian restaurant where we would enjoy eating in and to take friends and family for special occasions, and I think we’ve found it.

This restaurant/takeaway was recommended by the place we were staying. Excellent friendly service with a smile. Plenty of meat in both dishes (chicken tikka masala, lamb tikka biryani). Best peshwari naan I’ve had. Collected within 20 mins. Highly recommend if your in the area.

Absolutely amazing, the staff were perfect, but they were genuinely interested in how we felt about our food, and not only that… One staff member even joined in on our discussion! We were talking about a certain topic, in which I bought up bullying – which he overheard and couldn’t help but ask if anyone was being bullied and looked very worried.

We had an amazing dining experience at Bahar. Loved the upstairs dining room, our server/host Samuel was very hospitable, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Samuel’s recommendation of the House Special Bahar King-Prawn Curry was absolutely delicious. We also had Kingfisher Beer, Channa Masala, Chicken Biryani and Butter Naan. Everything was spot-on! Highly recommend Bahar!!

My wife’s and I go to Indian restaurant. The best in town. Never once had a bad meal. The atmosphere is brilliant in there and the staff are all top lads. Highly recommend to anyone who hasn’t been there yet.

For the highest rated Indian restaurant in the area it was very disappointing. The meat was good quality and not tough but unfortunately the dishes were very sweet with the saag paneer so much so it was inedible and the onion bhaji’s were very dry and dense. Had this meal not been a takeaway I would have sent several dishes back.
