A cute and quick breakfast spot! Does get very busy so expect a line on the weekends. But there’s ample amounts of seating. We got the recovery baguette and the BEP. The BEP was our fave – much more flavorful. Service was quick and kind!

One of the absolute BEST breakfast spots in Charleston. My wife and I are at Baguette Magic more often than I’d like to admit and for good reasons.
We’ve gotten to know a lot of the staff, and they’re all amazing. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, and they keep us stocked with our weekly loaf of incredible sourdough bread. Highly recommend!

We visited Baguette Magic on a Saturday afternoon. The servers were friendly and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. We ordered a B.E.C. on a croissant to share, a cannoli latte with oatmilk and a caramelized banana latte. My cannoli latte lacked flavor and I could not taste anything related to cannoli. My partner said his latte tasted like iced coffee with a hint of banana. The BEC was good and fresh but nothing remarkable. Overall, an average experience.

One of my absolute favorite spots to go on James Island! So many yummy food options with such a good variety if you’re going with friends/family. The matcha is my go-to but the espresso is never a miss. So many seating options and a great place to hang out, get some work done, read a book, etc. Definitely recommend!

Stopped in on way out of town from vacation. Soo glad we did. Selection is great and the food was phenomenal. Large portions and fresh. We like that they ate part of SC agriculture proud! We love supporting local and thankful we stopped here

Baguette Magic on James Island is one of those rare gems that hits every single note perfectly. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh-baked goodness tells you you’re in for something special. Their croissants are superb—flaky, buttery, and impossibly light—exactly what you dream a croissant should be. And the breakfast sandwiches? Divine. The balance of flavors, the warm bread, the thoughtful ingredients… it all comes together in a way that makes breakfast feel like a treat, not a routine.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere and hospitality seal the deal. The staff is genuinely wonderful—warm, efficient, and clearly proud of what they serve. It’s no surprise that Baguette Magic has become one of the most popular spots on the island; the line out the door most mornings speaks for itself. Whether you’re grabbing a pastry to go or settling in for a slow breakfast, it’s the kind of place you can’t help but return to again and again.
In short: if you’re on James Island and you love freshly-baked food (and who doesn’t?), Baguette Magic is an absolute must.

Stopped here on our way to Folly Beach. I got the French toast with fresh berries, which was very good, but OMG the grit bowl my husband had was FANTASTIC. So good we stopped back in to get it again the next day on our way out of Charleston, even though it was in the opposite direction we were going. Highly recommend.

One of my all time favorite brunch spots! Their pastries are truly incredible and their sandwiches are also just as amazing. One dish that truly stands out is their French toast. Unbelievable flavor with the softest fluffiest buttery brioche loaf and slathered with Nutella, maple syrup and caramelized pecans. I add the mixed berries for an additional $1 too which just brings the dish so over the top perfection. One of my favorite pastries is their almond croissant! It’s a must try when you’re there!

Its a neat place with welcoming staff and delicious food. The menu is simple and filling. My cup of Joe was strong and flavorful. Clean. Quick. Tasty. Reasonably priced. Offers premade frozen dinners. And even community engaging.
What not to love, if you like baguettes, of course.

Great customer service. The young lady at the counter was informative and personable. The other employees were friendly as well.
Ordered an iced latte with almond milk and brown sugar cinnamon syrup. It was tasty. Second State coffee is used. Syrups are made in-house.
Also ordered the BEC (bacon, egg, & cheese) on a baguette. Unfortunately, there was a hair in it so I had to drive back and get a new one. Cashier was apologetic, but they lose stars for that.
Home fries are chunks of potatoes that are fried very nicely. I’d get those again.
They sell various local items, such as teas, jerky, meats, & grits. There are some grab and go things in a freezer — pasta & sauce, take-and-bake biscuits, pasta, & pies, gluten-free bread & buns, and more.
Plenty of indoor seating.
